Once we truly feel, we can no longer look away.
We are moved to act—not from fear or shame, but from love, reverence, and deep belonging.

This is not just self-care.
This is a revolution.
This is how we save the planet.

And it starts with small, sacred actions.

I am done hiding my voice. too long, many of us have been conditioned to disconnect—from our bodies, our rhythms, and the Earth herself. But the truth is, we are not separate. The body is a microcosm of the Earth. Our cycles mirror her seasons, her tides, her phases of creation a...

“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of each.” - Henry David Thoreau

The natural rhythms of a new season bring infinite possibilities for new beginnings. How often do we look back at the festivities past and wonder if we could have savored more in the moment? Now is a wonderful time to calmly prepare our body, mind, spirit, and space for the changing of the seasons. Reject the notion of the eternal spring, and allow yourself to ‘winter’ lovingly and slowly at home in your body, and in your tangible home.

This can look like making space for our creative pursuits and manifesting what we want to come into fruition as spring is lingering on the horizon, reviewing and renewing habits to make an inspired commitment to our overall wellness, and setting the foundation for abundance in all forms by “cleansing” and “detoxifying” internally (mind-body-spirit) and externally (physical and energetic spaces).

Which of these ritual cleansing practices resonates with you most?

"If you want to change the world… love a woman, just one woman. Love and protect her, as if she’s the last holy vessel. Love her through her fear of abandonment;
which she has been holding for all of humanity.
No, the wound’s not hers to heal alone.
No, she’s not weak in her dependence.
If you want to change the world… love a woman
all the way through, until she believes you,
until her instincts, her visions, her voice, her art, her passion, her wildness have returned to her-
until she’s a force of love, more powerful
than all the political media demons who seek to devalue, and destroy her.
If you want to change the world,
lay down your causes, your guns, and protest signs. Lay down your inner war, your self righteous anger, and love a woman…
beyond all of your striving for greatness,
beyond your tenacious quest for enlightenment. The holy grail stands before you, if you would only take her in your arms,
and let go of searching for something beyond this intimacy.
If you want to change the world…love a woman
to the depths of your shadow,
to the highest reaches of your Being,
back to the Garden, where you first met her;
to the gateway of the rainbow realm
where you walk through together as Light as One, to the point of no return, to the ends and the beginning of a New Earth."

Who else has been feeling the weight of this moment of collective mourning? The cries of mothers, fathers, and hundreds of thousands of others around the world can be heard and felt so deeply as the climate of our planet and our humanity is being rocked by unspeakable traumas and terrors. Regardless of who or what we hold sacred, it’s impossible to deny the magnitude of suffering gripping our psyches, our bodies, our siblings, our ancestral lands, and our world right now.

Transmuting the powerful poison of grief transforms the ache of loss into growth. It can also lead to positive forces that propel us into new ways of thinking and being. Grief is also a natural expression of feelings for something or someone we once loved, a bond or attachment that formed and became significant to us. Honoring the impact and meaning of that person or that attachment is also a type of gateway to other life-affirming experiences.

If you are experiencing grief, loss, or bereavement, here are some questions to consider asking yourself from “Integral Tarot: Decoding the Essence”:

- How can I allow this death to be a type of surrender to a new life?
- Where am I holding a sense of false hope?
- What is the worst that could happen if I did something different?

To keep reading about death rituals, grief as a sacred rite and initiation, and herbs and everyday tools for coping with grief and loss, visit our blog via link in bio or animamundiherbals.com - And remember, the act of grieving can also break the heart open to receive joy and delight. Death rituals can help affirm, release, share the burden, and transform us.

We wish you hope and healing. We wish you to be filled with gratitude and light that soothes your gentle heart. 🤍 We hope this week’s blog and newsletter is a soft space for you to find loving reminders that whatever speed you’re going on your healing journey, as you navigate the death phase in one form or another, is the right pace.

What are some death rituals you’ve participated in that have brought you a greater sense of peace?

When Ending Comes

Look into its eyes
until your tears make a Monet's garden of the landscape,
blurring the hard cliff edge
you will step beyond into emptiness.

When ending comes
Be alone with Sorrow
even if she refuses to speak to you,
let the silence become clay on a wound
that draws out your own hidden, essential words.

When ending comes
Greet it like a guest
that will destroy the house
but leave behind a golden cup
you will not know how to drink from right away.

When ending comes
Cradle it in your arms like an egg, warm it with your body
so that someday when your back curves around it with grief
the bared bones of your shoulders
will breathe out wings.
