If you’re highly sensitive, this moment in the world is a lot.

I’ve been paying closer attention to what actually helps, for myself and for my two teenage daughters, who both feel things deeply too.

In this video I’m sharing three things I keep coming back to: more alone time, nervous system regulation (breath, box breathing, touch), and an energetic bubble that doesn’t wall you off but gives you just enough buffer so you can still feel without holding everyone else’s weight.

None of this is complicated. It’s just worth remembering.

If you’re in it right now — sending you love. 🤍

The sunsets on maui are epic!
The beauty so immense that it makes me weep. The stillness so enveloping that i receive a reflection of my own heart and inner knowing.
On retreat, i make it a practice each day to pause, feel my feet on the earth, open my heart to the magic of this island and feel my son, Noah.
He visits me in the sky. He paints a glorious vision of color for me to know he’s with me. As i watch the sun slip behind the horizon and melt into the sea, i am at peace.

After multiple losses, she chose support. Chose space. Chose to be held.

A week on Maui devoted to grief, community, and the body—where nothing had to be rushed or explained. Time to grieve alongside others who understand. Time to let the ocean, the land, and the body help carry what’s been heavy.

Stories shared. Grief softened. A sense of not being alone.

If you’ve been on the fence, know this: there’s something here for you that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Registration closes next Friday.
DM me if you’d like to hop on a free info call or get the details. 🌺

One of the most common questions I hear about the Awakening Through Grief Retreat is whether someone’s grief belongs.

People wonder if enough time has passed.
If their loss is significant enough.
If it fits the shape they’ve learned to associate with grief.

This retreat was created in response to those questions.

It is a space that does not ask you to measure or compare what you’ve lived through. Grief here is not ranked, explained, or justified. It is met as it lives in you, in the body, in emotion, in places that do not always have language.

Many people arrive carrying more than one form of grief at once. Loss connected to death. Loss connected to illness, change, separation, or futures that never unfolded. Grief that feels present. Grief that feels old. Grief that has been carried without a place to land.

You do not need to arrive with clarity. You do not need to name your experience neatly. The work is slow and relational, held in community, supported by time in nature and by practices that invite the body to soften and listen.

If grief has been waiting for space to be met with care, this retreat was created with you in mind.

Comment “RETREAT” and I’ll send you the link to learn more about the Awakening Through Grief Retreat on Maui.

You don’t need the “right” kind of grief to belong here.

Grief isn’t only about death.
It can come from illness.
From change.
From losing who you thought you were.
From realizing a future you planned for won’t arrive the way you imagined.

When we start comparing pain, we start isolating ourselves.
And grief is already lonely enough.

A retreat is a place to be held in community.
To be guided through grief rather than carrying it alone.
To have space where your experience is named, witnessed, and supported.

“This experience has been overwhelmingly healing — I found people who feel the same sense of loss and hope, and I learned to release grief from my body in a way I didn’t think was possible.”

At the Awakening Through Grief Wellness Retreat on Maui, you’re supported in a safe, intimate, community-rooted space where grief is met with somatic practices, yoga, meditation, journaling, and shared reflection — all set against the island’s beauty and spirit of aloha.

Daily life doesn’t make room for grief.

Life keeps moving. Roles, responsibilities, and expectations continue, even after loss, change, or rupture. Many people keep going because they have to, not because they’re ready.

Grief often gets postponed. It’s carried alongside work, caregiving, decisions, and routines. Over time, it settles into the body in ways that aren’t always obvious.

Most people don’t realize how much they’ve been holding until they slow down. When space becomes available, grief rises. Not because something is wrong, but because there is finally room to feel what has been carried.

The Awakening Through Grief Retreat was created to offer that time and space. A place to slow down, to listen to the body, and to meet grief with care, without explanation or comparison.

Create space for your grief to be met with care.

Most people don’t avoid grief.

They’re busy.
They’re responsible.
They’re doing what needs to be done.

And grief gets folded into daily life instead of given its own space.

Over time, that has a cost.

Not always dramatic.
Often subtle.

A body that feels heavier.
Less capacity.
Less patience.
A sense of moving through life while holding something unresolved.

This is why time and space matter.

Stepping away from routine changes how the nervous system responds. Being in a different place — away from constant demand — makes it possible to stay with what’s present instead of pushing through it.

The Awakening Through Grief Retreat on Maui was created with this in mind.

Not as an escape.
As a pause.

A few days set aside to be in your body, in nature, and in the presence of others who understand loss.

If the idea of stepping out of daily life to tend what you’re carrying resonates, I invite you to join us on Maui.

What actually happens at a somatic grief retreat?

Three things shape the experience.

Community.
Being met heart to heart. Sharing what’s inside without fixing or explaining. A kind of belonging that happens when people show up honestly.

The body.
Grief lives in the body. We move with it, breathe with it, listen to it. Through movement, somatic practices, yoga, and body awareness, the work becomes embodied, not just talked about.

The land.
Maui holds you. The ocean steps away. Nourishing local food. Morning sea turtles. Beauty that softens the nervous system and invites exhale. A sense of being both open and deeply held.

If you feel a pull to tend to your grief, to yourself, and to be surrounded by others doing the same, I invite you to learn more.

We arrive as strangers and leave as family.

Info call: Tomorrow, Thursday, February 5

Past participants will be there to share their experience and answer questions.

You can find the link to register in my bio.
Much love.

I’m holding so much care for our community right now.

For what’s happening in our world, in this country, and for those in Minneapolis who are living inside the impact of it directly. For the grief, the fear, the anger, the shock, and the exhaustion that come with witnessing harm and loss again and again.

So many are carrying this in their bodies, even when there aren’t words, even when life keeps asking us to keep going. It makes sense if you feel heavy, raw, unsettled, or on edge. It also makes sense if you don’t know exactly what you’re feeling at all.

I want you to know you’re not alone in this. Your reactions are human. Your grief belongs.

I’m sending love to everyone navigating this moment in their own way and holding space for all that’s being carried right now.

01/29/2026

We’re all carrying so much right now.
Grief, fear, exhaustion, and the impact of what we’re witnessing, often without space to process any of it.

This spring on Maui, I’m holding space to be seen, held, and supported while tending grief in the body and in community. The Awakening Through Grief Retreat on Maui is for all forms of grief — personal, collective, ongoing — and for people who want care that doesn’t rush the process.

I’m hosting a preview call on Zoom
Thursday, February 5 — 5:30 PM MST
to share what the retreat holds and answer questions.
