Garden To Table / Growe Foundation

We empower school communities with gardens and curriculum to engage all students in experiential outdoor education. Follow us on Instagram!

Our Garden to Table program provides elementary schools in Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) with the resources and support to build vegetable gardens and create hands-on learning experiences for students with growing, preparing and eating healthy food. The theme based program allows teachers to integrate lessons with core curriculum and nurture the knowledge, skills and behaviors that lead to wellness and connectedness to their community and natural environment.

Thank you so much to for giving Garden to Table another grant to support our schools in Broomfield! The Broomfield Community Foundation was established nearly 30 years ago to create an ongoing source of funds for local charitable organizations. It is a vehicle for community philanthropy that enables individuals of both modest and substantial means to ensure Broomfield’s quality of life, together. We’re super grateful for their continued support of GTT! 💚

Today is the last day to give for Colorado Gives Day! Please consider making a donation to support school gardens across the Boulder Valley! We’re thrilled that we get every student at our partner schools out for multiple garden lessons each year. They get to do tasks like planting the gardens, harvesting seeds, winterizing the gardens, and tasting produce (some that they’ve maybe never tried before like kohlrabi and ground cherries). This time is so important for kids to get outdoors and use their hands, and our curriculum even ties in directly with what they’re already learning in the classroom!

On this Colorado Gives Day, we’re hoping to unlock a $10,000 match. We just need $2,000 more by the end of the day to get there, so please consider contributing! Any amount is meaningful, and we so appreciate your support!

Our Community Outreach Director will be speaking about Garden to Table at this event! It’s open to the public and is a great way to meet community members who care about local nonprofits! The event starts at 5:30pm and there will be food and drinks available! See you at next week!

We’re honored to collaborate with so many amazing environmental education and climate resiliency groups! We work with the Boulder County E-Movement, Nature Kids, School Garden Support Organization, KidsGardening, and more! Here is a picture from a gathering last week- there are tons of incredible local environmental organizations involved with this group and we’re thrilled to be one of them! 🤗

Colorado Gives Season is upon us, and this is a really important campaign for our organization! We bring in a lot of our individual gifts this way, and it helps sustain us as we enter the next year’s season.
