Dr. Katie Carbiener of Sirona is bringing you some insight into what you can do now to help your running! This post is on hip mobility! WE NEED IT!
Some of Dr. Carbiener's favorites are:
1. Hamstring Lean Back: one foot in front of the other, hinge at hip and shift weight back into your hips and feel that hamstring pull on the front leg.
2. Modified Pigeon: cross a leg over, shift weight over front hip till you feel pressure into the back of your hip, might feel different than a stretch.
3. The Pretzel! one leg crossed in front, one behind. Lean forward and shift weight till you feel a stretch in the hip you are leaning over, lean back stretch the hip flexor, bend the knee to get more quad too!
