The power of a woman’s regulated nervous system that is also heart ♥️ connected to her self-worth. Most women are natural caregivers. A woman that says “YES” to her midlife reclamation is a powerful woman. The work is never just for her.

So many women I work with report back with 💥surprise and delight💥 about the impact their more connected, less rigid energy has on everyone closest to them.

Second guessing yourself? Feeling unsure? Here’s a snippet of my story about second guessing and not trusting myself, and what I learned.
May you know that you’re always right where you need to be in your process. Sometimes, to be able to proceed with complete knowingness requires a couple of attempts. And sometimes confirmation that you’re on the right aligned path looks hella messy. I thought many times during my second divorce filing, “this is soooo fu***ng hard and excruciatingly painful, but I have no doubt that this is right now.” I needed ALL OF ME to more deeply understand and trust myself and my decision.
While I still experience grief some days and have to practice forgiveness, I (and my kids) finally have peace. And peace is priceless.

The River and the River Banks. Many women in Midlife find themselves operating and over functioning as the banks of the river, holding EVERYTHING so that everyone around them can flow. Holding, managing, maintaining, directing, carrying is eventually exhausting for women as we do not thrive in such RIGID states.
By the time I meet women in my practice they are often close to the end of their capacity to continue being the river banks. Together, we embark on a journey of unlearning, clearing out, and claiming or re-claiming the essence of their unique flow.
Does this sound familiar? Have you become too much of the river banks and not enough of the river?

The “worthiness wound” is a collapsed internal place. Nothing really gets in because deep, deep down you don’t believe you are worthy. The belief of unworthiness says that whether it’s you, or someone else, you’re not actually worthy spending the time, care, money, energy, effort on.

It’s a deeply painful wound rooted in mistrust, fear, abandonment, lack of care and unmet longing that formed in relationship, usually with a caregiver. When you start to build back trustworthiness with yourself, you prepare yourself to actually heal worthiness with another in relationship. Almost sll childhood wounds happen in relationship, and therefore eventually MUST BE HEALED IN RELATIONSHIP.

Consistency grows trustworthiness with yourself! It’s so common (for women especially) to be totally inconsistent in taking good care of their bodies/minds/hearts/spirituality by the time they reach Midlife. Most women are caretakers by nature and therefore always take responsibility of carrying/managing for people, and the mental load. They put themselves LAST ON THE LIST.

This is often a result of deep seeded lack of worthiness, and avoiding the discomfort of whatever has been stuffed down for decades. Women (and men) in Midlife are confronted with a period of reckoning. It’s a life stage where you must decide what stays and what must go. Where you must start paying attention and being devotional, deliberate, and consistent with what matters the most. Anything not aligned with those truths must change, or be let go.

When you (and the youngest part of you) are feeling alllll the feels, it’s normal to experience being discombobulated, disconnected, and uncomfortable…until you stop to fully meet what’s happening with the utmost tenderness.

We are parts that make up a whole being. Notice what parts of you are vying for your attention. Often times the +younger+ the part, the more flailing and all over the place you feel. Remember to give those youngest parts now what you never got (but desperately needed) back then.
