Infinite Illumination Healing

Infinite Illumination Healing Spiritual Teacher • Energy Healer • Targeted Individual • Intuitive Empath • Human Rights Activist So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

SEICHIM/SEKHEM

Seichim/Sekhem is a form of Universal energy that was originally used in Ancient Egypt. This energy promotes healing on multiple levels, with a focus on heart center energy. It is similar to Reiki but operates on a higher vibration and works on a deeper level. (adapted from Seichim-Sekhem.com)

REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. (adapted from Reiki.org)

You were never actually strong.
You were just never allowed to fall apart.

You became the one who handled it.
The one who stayed calm.
The one who didn’t make it worse.
The one who fixed things.
The one who swallowed it.

People love calling you strong.

It sounds respectful.
It sounds admiring.

But what it really meant was:

“You don’t need anything from us.”

You were the emotional shock absorber in the room.
The steady one in chaos.
The child who didn’t add to the problem.

So they leaned on you.

They vented to you.
They relied on you.
They trusted you with their breakdowns.

But when you needed someone?

You were “mature.”
You were “fine.”
You were “the strong one.”

Strong became a cage.

Because strength meant you didn’t get comfort.
Strength meant you didn’t get softness.
Strength meant you didn’t get to need.

You learned early that your pain was less urgent than everyone else’s.

So you contained it.

You helped.
You solved.
You carried.

And now as an adult, you’re still the safe place for everyone else.

People cry in front of you.
Confess to you.
Lean on you.
Trust you.

But very few ever ask:
Who holds you?

And when you finally crack - when you show even a glimpse of overwhelm -
you feel embarrassed.

Exposed.
Too much.
Dramatic.

Because somewhere deep in your nervous system is the rule:

If I fall apart, everything collapses.

That rule kept you functioning.

It also kept you alone.

Here’s the part that hits hardest:
They didn’t love your strength.
They loved that your strength meant they didn’t have to step up.

Your resilience spared them responsibility.
Your composure kept the system stable.
Your silence protected their comfort.

You were strong because no one else was.

And that’s not a compliment.
That’s neglect wrapped in praise.

Being the strong one is exhausting because it was never a role you chose.
It was assigned.

And the real healing isn’t about becoming softer.
It’s about allowing yourself to be supported without guilt.

It’s about letting someone else carry something without scanning for danger.

It’s about admitting:
I don’t actually want to be the strong one all the time.

Strength kept you alive.
But you don’t have to keep proving it.
