Gut health is complex, but the solutions can be sooooo simple. (I promise)
In the US, our food system is basically the wild west. Food laws are not meant to protect people, they are slanted towards profit for large corporations.
Sooooo, what are we to do? 👉Get our own food education from people like me who understand gut health and how to navigate a confused, manipulative, mostly broken food system so we don’t drown in it.
A few key steps for giving your gut a better chance at recovery:
🥘 Reduce gluten and grains as much as possible. They are commodity foods grown with tons of pesticides & toxic chemicals (including gmo’s) that are increasing the toxic load in your gut tissue, blood & organ systems
🥘 Buy more pastured & organic meats and poultry. Support the farmers who are doing it right for our health and more healthy soil
🥘 Eat fermented foods like sauerkraut, fermented pickles and other veggies like beets, carrots and green beans. (You’ll find these in the cooler section)
🥘 Filter your drinking water and don’t use plastic
