Before we had words, we had touch.
When COVID happened, we stopped touching. In yoga studios, hands-on assists quietly disappeared... and I stopped offering them for a time too.
Now, recent research is confirming what many of us have felt on the mat: mindful touch lowers cortisol, eases anxiety, and supports healing.*
So I'm bringing them back, with trauma-informed awareness and consent cards, so you can express your preference for hands-on or verbal-only assists at any class. Always with consent, always with care.
