Here are some tips for buying the best crucifers:

Broccoli ➽ look for tight, dark green/bluish florets & firm stalks
Brussels sprouts ➽ small, dense, bright green buttons; outer leaves intact
Cabbage ➽ heavy for size; crisp, shiny leaves
Arugula ➽ deep green, perky leaves
Bok choy ➽ snow-white stems & no blemishes
