Kay’s love of painting began at just three or four years old and grew into a lifelong passion. While studying interior design, she developed a deep appreciation for watercolor—eventually teaching the medium herself and earning awards for her work in high school. As Kay beautifully puts it, “I like the tension it creates.”

This January, we’re proud to highlight the hobbies and talents that make our residents who they are. From creative pursuits like painting to the passions they’ve carried throughout their lives, celebrating hobbies is one more way we honor individuality, creativity, and living well at MorningStar.
