Learning to set boundaries is often hard when it comes to family members and friends you know that friendship has come to an end. Your peace, forcing yourself to do things you know you aren't interested in doing, and not having unnecessary stress. Put your well-being and peace first and it's okay to say NO without an explanation.

I used to feel so alone, unhappy, and felt if someone did or gave me something it came with a catch. Something the sexual predator had me believing. He would give me money or candy for touching me and in my teens and 20s for his guilt because he knew I hated him with every fiber of my being. The person who sexual assault me years later offered me to drop the charges. I will never sell my soul for a piece of me I can never get back. Forgiveness and healing is so necessary for your mental, physical, and emotional health and well-being. I no longer live in that place of giving those predators my power with the thoughts, playing small, nightmares, sickness, fears, or not using my voice to help and advocate for others who have been sexual assault.

I had so much baggage from sexual trauma, grief, abandonment/anger/trust issues, self-sabotaging behaviors, and not being heard
I would attract other broken/hurt people trying to make them happy and ignored my own unhappiness or I would unintentionally hurt or push people away

The thing about trauma no matter how much you try to smile. The eyes never lie. I remember a church member saying to me you don't look happy. I didn't understand it then that my trauma, hurt, depression, sadness, disappointment, anger, pain, and grief was showing through my eyes
