Jose Natividad Segura, 85 of Bowie, TX entered into eternity on Saturday, February 14th, 2026.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Jose was born in 1940 in Los Almos, Coahuila, Mexico. He was one of 8 children and spent his early years in his Mexico, where he developed a love for music and became known as a talented musician, playing with the band Los Pavoreales. In Mexico he met Antonia, with whom he raised eight children. Seeking a better life for his family, Jose moved to the United States, first working in factories in Iowa before settling in Bowie, Texas. The Segura family was among one of the first Hispanic families in Bowie. While here, he worked at ford dealership.

During his time in Bowie, Jose experienced a life-changing encounter with the Lord and dedicated his life to ministry. He opened his home for church services and later moved to Fort Worth, where he continued preaching throughout Texas. He was known for his deep knowledge of Scripture, his passion for evangelism, and his love for worship through music.

Jose is survived by his wife Antonia, children and grandchildren; his son, Jose Jr. Segura; his daughter, Maria Chavez; and his brother, Manuel Segura, all of Bowie, Texas; his sons Jesse, Carlos, Humberto and Juan Segura and many extended family members and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Jose will be remembered for his strong faith, his music, his preaching, and his love for sharing un cafecito with family and friends.

Patsy Lou Dunn, 79, of Bowie, Texas, gained her wings and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Bowie.
Funeral services will be held at First Free Will Baptist Church in Bowie on Saturday, February 21, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastors Billy Waller and Glenn Neff officiating. A graveside service will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, with arrangements entrusted to White Family Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jacob Gonzales, Hayden Gonzales, Jerry Fuller, Henry Evans, Ron VanHofwegen, and Lanny Hunt.
Pat was born on March 31, 1946, in Buffalo Springs, Texas, to Charles “Chick” Fuller and Willie “Aunt Bill” Fuller. She grew up with a deep love for family, faith, and community—values that remained central throughout her life. Pat worked for many years at Haggar before spending her later years at the Bowie Public Library, where she found great joy in helping others and visiting with friends. She was a devoted member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Bowie, where she cherished her church family. Pat also faithfully volunteered with the God’s Table ministry, cooking and serving meals to those in need for many years. Prior to moving to Bowie, she attended Pleasant Mound Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo Springs.
Pat had a special passion for gardening and the outdoors. She and her husband Ray enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and attending church together during their marriage. Before her illness progressed, she could often be found tending to her yard, nurturing her flowers, or relaxing on her patio with a good book. She loved vacations at the beach, but nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her friends and family—especially her beloved grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dunn, parents, Charles and Willie Fuller; her brothers, Gerald Fuller, Buck Fuller, Denny Fuller, Eddie Fuller, and James Fuller; and her sister, Betty Flinn.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Robin Gonzales of Austin, Texas; her cherished grandsons, Jacob Gonzales and Hayden Gonzales of Austin; her sister-in-law, Patsy Fuller; and numerous nieces and nephews: Tammie, Cindy, and Jerry Fuller; Pam, Tom, Clarence Flinn; and Johnny Fuller and Tracy Jones. She also leaves behind many dear friends whom she loved beyond measure.
Pat spent her final years at Independence Hall in Bowie. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff for the exceptional care and love they showed her. She loved each of you and felt that love returned. The family is also deeply thankful for her devoted friends who stood faithfully by her side.
Pat’s legacy of faith, kindness, service, and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Nocona, Texas – Anita Currie (Irwin), devoted mother, grandmother, and beloved matriarch, passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 81.

Visitation will be Friday, February 20, from 6–8 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Bowie, Texas. Burial will be Saturday, February 21, at 1 p.m. at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma

Born May 25, 1944, in Kellyville, Oklahoma, Anita dedicated her life to caring for others. She created a home filled with laughter, the aroma of home-cooked meals, and the steady hum of her sewing machine. A gifted cook, she owned and operated several cookeries, sharing her talent and hospitality with many. Her sewing skills were equally remarkable, crafting everything from handmade outfits and dresses to treasured keepsakes for her large family.

An avid reader, Anita was rarely without a book or her Kindle. Her sharp wit and lively humor brightened every gathering, and she always had a clever remark ready to lift spirits. Over the years, she also worked in a cabinet shop and later retired as a houseparent at the TK Ranch.

Anita spent her final days at her beloved lake home, surrounded by cherished memories of family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Currie; her parents, Harry and Anita Irwin; and her brother, Terry Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Currie and wife Heidi of Florida; Gina LeGrand and husband Mike of Paradise, Texas; and Glenna Currie and partner Kathy of Wichita Falls, Texas; granddaughters Chanda Jones, Maranda Lay, Shelby Moore, and Chelsy Cornelius; her adored great- and great-great-grandchildren; and brothers Rusty McCoy, Timmy Martin, and Tommy Robinson.

She will be deeply missed, and her love and stories will live on for generations.

Doris Laverne Reed went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 13th, 2026, at the age of 95 in Bowie, TX.

Funeral Services will take place 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16th, at Southside Baptist Church in Bowie, with Dr. Tony Rogers officiating.

Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Stoneburg.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Doris was born on May 5, 1930, in Stoneburg, TX, to Ollie and Fern (Young) Williams. She married Leon Reed on December 19, 1947. The couple settled in Bowie, where they raised their 6 children.

Doris worked as a secretary in the oilfield industry until she retired at the age of 85. She was a founding member of Southside Baptist Church, where she faithfully served her Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karon; and 2 grandsons, Jason and Corey.

Doris is survived by her sister, Jo Lowe; sons, Tommy and wife Cathy, Steve and wife Jane, Rusty, and Scott and wife Ann; daughter, Debbie del Rio and husband Jose; her 17 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, who all lovingly called her “Chic”.

She left a family and host of friends who will forever miss and remember her presence on earth, who find great comfort in being reunited with her heaven.

Roger Allen Hamilton, 76, of Bowie, TX, passed away on Friday, February 13th, 2026.

A Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, with Rex Hamilton officiating.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, February 16th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Roger was born on July 4, 1949, to Edna and Cotton Hamilton. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1967. Roger married the love of his life Annitta Adair July 31, 1970, at the Newport Church of Christ. He worked as the manager of the Water and Wastewater Department for the City of Bowie for 18 years, and later owned and operated Hamilton Pest Control for 20 years. Roger was a member of the Carter Lake Road Church of Christ in Bowie. His favorite hobbies were shooting and collecting guns, but above all he loved his family. He will be remembered as a devoted Son, Husband, Father, and Pappy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Olan and Randall Hamilton; and sister, Lawana Cannedy.

Don Gaylon Sills, 69 of Bowie, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside services will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 13th, at Brushy Cemetery in Bowie, with Bro. Mark Roberts officiating.

Don was born November 1st, 1956, in Bowie, TX to Weldon Bailey and Mabel Marie (Slade) Sills. Throughout his life he worked in the furniture industry, it was there that he met his future wife, Amelia. Don and Amelia were married in Dumas, Texas in August 1977, and moved to Bowie where they were residents for 45 years. The couple enjoyed spending time together and going out for Mexican food. Don worked for Richardson Furniture Store and later did some yard work.

Don was a faithful husband, taking care of Amelia for years while she fought diabetes and kidney failure. While she was in the hospital, Don stayed right by her side, 24 hours a day, until her passing on February 2nd. On February 11th, Don passed away from a broken heart after a series of heart attacks the day before.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and his beloved wife of 48 years, Amelia Sills.

Don is survived by his sister, Janet Sills Havenhill and husband Max; and nieces, Michelle Cordero and Nicole Jeanes.

Evelyn Juanell Haile, 86 of Bowie, TX, slipped into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 12th, at the First Baptist Church of Bowie, with Bro. Mike Henson officiating.

Burial will follow Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 11th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Evelyn was born on September 25, 1939, to Rube and Violet Stewart in Proffit, Young County, Texas. In 1957, she married Harold Seth Haile. They were happily married for 64 years. He was the love of her life, her business partner and best friend.

Evelyn along with her husband, Harold owned and operated Bowie Dozer Service for 33 years, with offices in both Bowie and Decatur.

Evelyn answered to many different names throughout her lifetime; “J” as Harold called her, “Mrs. E” by the Bowie Dozer employees, but “Mom and Nannie “were her favorites.

She will always be remembered for her love of family and the way she made every gathering special but mostly for her life of faith and her love of her Lord Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold S. Haile, her parents, Rube and Violet Stewart, and her grandson, Chris Darden.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Lesia Darden and husband, Roy; son, Craig Haile and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Landon Sims and wife Erika, Leah Walton and husband Rob, Matt Haile and wife Elizabeth, Kayla Burnett and husband Wes, Larry Don Byas, and Nikki Sosa; great-grandchildren, Addy Sims, Brody Sims, Delainey Walton, Hadleigh Walton, McKinley Walton, Eloise Haile, Hattie, Haile, Sophie Haile, Numa Burnett, Wells Burnett, Banks Burnett, Garrett Darden, Ella Darden, Bailey Young and husband Klay, Bella Sosa and Jaiden Brown, her brother, Leroy Stewart, sister-in-law, Betty Weimer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mylea Wadsworth, Tina Betts and the nurses at Hospice of Wichita Falls for their love and care during her illness.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie. Burial took place at Justin Cemetery in Justin, TX.

Margarett was born in Denton County, Texas on January 6, 1949, to John Henry and Gladys (Archer) Pennington.

She is preceded in death by her son, Lance Guess and her 8 brothers and sisters.

Margarett is survived by her children, Glenn Guess, Lisa Winter, and Grant Guess; grandchildren, Leanna McMaster, Krista Otterpohl, Micaela Policiano, Jayden Guess, Talon Guess, Aundrea Guess, Maia Guess, Emma Winter, and Ayden Otterpohl; great-grandchildren, Markael Guess and Maddox Policiano; and brother, David Archer.

Joyce was born October 27, 1928 in Clay County, Texas to Robert Lonnie and Mary Delpha (Bowden) Denson. She met the Love of her life & Husband of 60 years, Joseph Fowler Corpening in Stoneburg, Texas at the School Bus Stop in 1934. They Married May 24, 1950 in Bowie, Texas. Joyce & Joe were school sweethearts, husband & wife, and business partners in the Oil & Gas Industry and other business endeavors since 1957. She was a loving Mother of two daughters.

She also worked for Southwestern Bell from 1946 to 1957. She was a 1946 Graduate of Bowie High School. Joyce gave her Life to Jesus Christ as a young teen and was a Lifelong member of the First Baptist Church & a member of the Charity Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers George Thurston Denson & wife Dutch and Sebie Kemp Denson & wife Juanita.

She is survived by Two Daughters, Cynthia Ann Roberts and husband Billy Ray of Bowie, and Linda Ruth Sanders & husband Sterling of Graham. She is also survived by numerous cherished nieces and nephews and their spouses & many treasured lifelong friends. Her Best FurFriend Ginger Cat “Fred” survives her as well.

Amelia was born August 22, 1959, in Tulia, TX to Florentino and Mary (Bosendua) Granado. She was a longtime Bowie resident of 45 years and worked for the Bowie Memorial Hospital for 26 years.

Dr. Ronald Wayne Westbrook, D.C. of Bowie, TX, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the age of 68 years old.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at Southside Baptist Church in Bowie, with Dr. Tony Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow with military honors at Terral Cemetery in Terral, OK.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 2, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Ron was born on September 12, 1957, to Jerry Philip Westbrook and Louise Marie Tettelton. He grew up in Nocona, Texas and graduated from Nocona High School in 1976. While in school, Ron excelled in UIL, One Act Play, track and football. He started all four years on the varsity football team, playing on both sides of the ball, earning All State Honors. After graduation, Ron joined the United States Air Force.
In 1977 he married Sharon Duke from Terral, Oklahoma.
Ron was known by many names: devoted husband, father, grandfather (Nonnie), son, brother, doc, Dr. Ron and true friend. He had a passion for helping people. This passion is what led him to his career in chiropractic medicine. Dr. Westbrook graduated from Parker University in 1994 and taught chiropractic technique to all under classes at the college. He opened his business, Health Innovations, in 1994 in Decatur, Texas. His love and compassion for his patients made him stand alone as the best chiropractor in this area. They will miss him greatly.
Throughout his life, his work ethic was undeniable. Whether it was carpentry, working 2 to 3 jobs to support his family, putting himself through college, or just lending a helping hand to any friend or family that needed it, you could always count on Ron to be there, no matter what.
Along with his many other accomplishments, Ron was a published author. In 2012, he wrote the book, “Choices”.
Ron enjoyed dancing, trying new foods and restaurants, going to the movies, trying to be funny, sports, spending time with family and most of all being “team Payton”. He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his friends, family and patients. Our hearts are comforted knowing he is now in his eternal home wrapped in the arms of Jesus, his dad, mom, brothers and Megan.
He is predeceased by his father and mother, his brothers, James Westbrook, Alan Robinson, Mark Robinson and daughter, “gorgeous genius”, Megan Westbrook Holt.
Ron is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Westbrook of Bowie, granddaughter, Payton Holt of Bowie, brother, Eddy Robinson of Bowie and sister, Rebecca Compton of Hurst along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Sylvia Jackson Stone, 85, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Bowie, TX, after a short illness.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6th at the First Baptist Church of Bowie, with Pastor Mike Henson officiating.
Sylvia was born in Corsicana, TX, on November 26. 1940 to Mildred and L.R. (Willie) Jackson. She was the oldest of four Jackson siblings. She graduated from Doniphan High School in Doniphan, MO, in 1957 and became a registered nurse upon her graduation from the Baylor School of Nursing in 1962. Sylvia worked as a nurse and homemaker for many years before retiring to Bowie, TX.
Sylvia's hobbies included home decorating (especially for the holidays), knitting, overthrowing small countries on the weekends, and reading. She was a Christian woman who attended many Baptist churches throughout her life ending with First Baptist Church of Bowie, TX. She was also a member of Bowie's Knit Together Sisterhood.
She is predeceased by her parents, three siblings, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Tony C. Stone; two sons, daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Sylvia will be deeply missed by her loved ones and friends as she brought light to people's lives.
