A powerful line of storms could move through Bowie and Prince George’s County Monday (3/16) between 3–7 p.m. bringing damaging winds up to 70–80 mph, large hail, heavy rain, and a few possible tornadoes. Downed trees, power outages, and blocked roads are possible. Rainfall totals may reach ½–¾ inch, with isolated flash flooding.
There are no watches or warnings yet, but this could change as the storms approach. Please stay weather aware. If thunder roars, go indoors. Seek shelter in a sturdy building on the lowest floor and away from windows. Be prepared for possible power outages and travel disruptions during the evening commute.
