We love our staff at Collington and what better way to celebrate the Thanksgiving season and show our gratitude. Each employee received a Turkey today. There were lots of smiles. Thank you staff for all you do for our residents and for each other.

Today at Collington, we celebrated and honored the veterans in our community for their service and dedication. But, of course, we also want to extend our thanks to all the veterans who have given so much.

A special thank you to Paula Gupta for organizing such a lovely celebration for today. Your efforts made the day extra special.

Today was the Collington Bazaar! Residents came together to share and sell all sorts of treasures, from books of every kind to handmade scarves, mittens, cookies, cakes, t-shirts, Christmas ornaments, and so much more.

There was a great turnout, plenty of good conversations, and lots of items found new homes. Overall, it was a wonderful day.

Last Friday, we hosted an incredible Fall Harvest Party where residents and team members came together to celebrate the season. Our furry friends joined in the fun with a costume contest, as did our creative team members who showed off some fantastic looks.

Congratulations to Megan Bryant, the Activities Department, and the Culinary Department for placing in the costume contest. Your costumes were outstanding!

We enjoyed delicious food, great company, plenty of laughter, and even a special performance from an Elvis impersonator.

A huge thank you to Paula Gupta for helping make this event such a success. It was a wonderful day filled with community and celebration, and we can’t wait for the next one!

We’re proud to share that we raised a total of $6,077.93 for the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Collington ranked #1 among companies, and Sharon Carr placed 3rd in Prince George’s County for individual fundraising.

We'd like to highlight that Sharon did an incredible job fundraising through her dedication and outreach. Thank you, Sharon, for representing Collington so well, and thanks to everyone who supported the cause! Your efforts are helping make a real impact in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

Happy First Day of Fall!

Today, September 22nd, marks the official start of autumn. While we’re not quite in full swing yet, we’re already looking forward to the beauty and changes the season will bring to our bucolic campus. From crisp morning air to golden leaves lining our walkways, the beauty of Collington's campus never fails to leave us breathless.

Here’s to warm drinks, cozy moments, and new beginnings. May this season bring inspiration, connection, and a sense of peace to all! And, of course, special thanks to Collington residents Alan Mead and Cecile Ramsay for these lovely fall photos.

Today we had the joy of celebrating the scholarship recipients (both past and present) here at Collington.

A heartfelt thank you to the Collington Foundation, the Collington Foundation Board, and the many generous residents whose contributions have have made and continue to make this momentous scholarship program possible. And, of course, big congratulations to all the scholarship winners! Your hard work and achievements inspire us all.

It’s truly a gift to be part of such a compassionate, giving community.

Today was our annual regatta, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. With sunshine and friendships, over 300 attendees enjoyed the lakeside race.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen, from the delicious food prepared by the Culinary Department, to the resident event organizers, to the amazing participants who gave us such a thrilling performance. You all made the day truly special.

And of course, big congratulations to Joe Howell, the winner of this year’s regatta!

We’re already looking forward to next year. Until then, fair winds and following seas.

We’re thrilled to celebrate the kickoff of Collington’s community-wide composting program! Last Friday, we celebrated this occasion and our collaboration moving forward with the Compost Crew. A heartfelt congratulations and thanks to Megan Bryant, Stephanie Tolson, the Resident Association, and the Sustainability Committee for their efforts in making this happen. Here’s to an even cleaner, greener Collington!
