With the holidays approaching, we wanted to give some spotlight to our Gingerbread House Contest! It was full of laughter, creativity, and teamwork. Residents loved looking at them all and team members had a blast doing it. We already can’t wait for next year!

NBC Washington recently highlighted how Collington residents worked collaboratively to protect and preserve the forest within community — a powerful example of stewardship, shared purpose, and care for future generations. 💚

Residents of a retirement community in Prince George’s County are spending a lot of their time outdoors, lately, volunteering to preserve the grounds surrounding their campus and hoping to inspire others to do the same. News4’s Darcy Spencer explains.

Yesterday at Collington, we enjoyed our holiday game day, where team members got enjoy festive carnival treats and have lovely caricatures drawn of themselves. Today we continued the celebration with our Jingle and Mingle, giving everyone a chance to unwind, chat with teammates, and enjoy the warm holiday atmosphere with delicious bundt cakes and drinks!

It has truly been such a wonderful holiday week. We are so thankful for our amazing team and the joy they bring to our community. We cannot wait to do it all again next year!

Today our Collington team members kicked off their holiday celebration week with Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.

Everyone showed up in their most festive sweaters, filling the community with color, laughter, and plenty of holiday cheer. It was a wonderful way to start the upcoming festivities, and we cannot wait to see what comes next!

Here at Collington, we’re gearing up for the holiday season with a variety of fun and crafty events!

Today we kicked things off with our Painting & Tea event in Brandywine. A huge thank you to all our wonderful resident attendees and crafters who joined us; your creativity makes these moments special. And a special shoutout to Paula Gupta for hosting such a warm and inspiring session.

We look forward to sharing more festive activities with you all. Here’s to a season full of creativity, community, and cheer!

We love our staff at Collington and what better way to celebrate the Thanksgiving season and show our gratitude. Each employee received a Turkey today. There were lots of smiles. Thank you staff for all you do for our residents and for each other.

Today at Collington, we celebrated and honored the veterans in our community for their service and dedication. But, of course, we also want to extend our thanks to all the veterans who have given so much.

Today was the Collington Bazaar! Residents came together to share and sell all sorts of treasures, from books of every kind to handmade scarves, mittens, cookies, cakes, t-shirts, Christmas ornaments, and so much more.

There was a great turnout, plenty of good conversations, and lots of items found new homes. Overall, it was a wonderful day.

Happy First Day of Fall!

Today, September 22nd, marks the official start of autumn. While we’re not quite in full swing yet, we’re already looking forward to the beauty and changes the season will bring to our bucolic campus. From crisp morning air to golden leaves lining our walkways, the beauty of Collington's campus never fails to leave us breathless.
