BYFS is one of the State of Maryland's 19 Youth Service Bureaus and has been serving the City of Bowie since 1973. We provide family counseling to families with children under the age of 18, group counseling and education, and other programs for children, youth & families in the City of Bowie and the greater Bowie area.

As SNAP benefits shift, more families are struggling to put food on the table. The Neighbors on Board Mobile Food Drive will collect non-perishable donations on:
- November 7, 2 – 7 p.m. at City Hall (Food Truck Frenzy)
- November 8, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Bowie Town Center (Veterans Day 5K)
- November 15, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Senior Center (Holiday Arts & Crafts Market).
