Congratulations to Aron and Dwight O'Dell on receiving the Good Samaritan Award! This couple was nominated for their extraordinary compassion and selflessness in the support of an employee’s family during a time of profound need. This is the first time someone from the community, and not directly associated with Med Center Health, has been nominated and recognized for the Good Samaritan Award.

"I am honored to nominate Dwight and Aron O’Dell for the Good Samaritan Award, in recognition of their extraordinary kindness, compassion, and selflessness toward a fellow employee and her family during an unimaginably difficult time. When one of our employees’ husbands was struggling with a devastating cancer diagnosis, Dwight and Aron didn’t hesitate to step in and help in the most meaningful ways possible. They built a ramp at the couple’s home to ensure he could safely enter and exit with dignity and comfort. They also went above and beyond to locate medical equipment needed for his care at home. Their compassion extended far beyond practical help. Aron personally visited the family’s home to bathe and care for the husband, ensuring he was clean, comfortable, and treated with respect. This act of genuine human kindness provided not only physical relief but also emotional comfort to the family, showing them they were not alone in their time of need. The selflessness Dwight and Aron displayed exemplifies the true meaning of being a Good Samaritan — giving freely of their time, skills, and hearts to improve someone else’s life. Their actions reflect the very best of Med Center Health’s values: compassion, service, and community. Dwight and Aron didn’t just lend a helping hand — they gave hope, dignity, and love during a moment of despair. Their extraordinary generosity and humanity make them both profoundly deserving of this recognition." - Leslie Michaud
