✨ Meet Kayla, SLP ✨

We’re so excited to welcome our newest Speech-Language Pathologist to The Reading Company! She earned her Master’s from Western Kentucky University and has been practicing since 2019.

She’s passionate about feeding therapy and early intervention, is trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding, and loves using a child-led therapy style to help kids reach their goals. 🩵

Her favorite part of the job? Advocating for families and celebrating every win along the way!

If your child gets to see her virtually, please give her a warm welcome! 💻👋🏼

You might feel tempted to always grab a new book, but re-reading favorite stories is actually one of the BEST things you can do for language growth!

When children know the story, their brains aren’t working as hard to understand the plot, so they can focus on language instead!

Tip: Emphasize rhyming words, clap syllables, or pause to highlight sounds you hear at the beginning or end of words.
