In August 2025, I sold Southern Kentucky Speech Therapy to The Stepping Stones Group (SSG), a national leader in educational-based services. This strategic decision marked an exciting new chapter for the organization and the communities we serve.

Following the acquisition, I chose to remain actively involved, working closely with SSG and alongside the exceptional team I have built across Kentucky to continue supporting both our dedicated professionals and valued school districts. While I briefly considered retirement, it quickly became clear that my passion for this work—and this team—runs far too deep.

SSG offers an impressive breadth of resources, including bi-weekly pay for clinicians, comprehensive insurance and retirement plans, extensive training and professional development opportunities, wellness initiatives, and clear pathways for long-term career growth. These warm days… have Southern Kentucky Speech Therapy, LLC planning for our summer therapy programs. Our rates are amazing because we love what we do and we love working with children!

This summer lots of great things are happening at SKST, so be sure to reach out soon before spots fill up. We have an amazing staff that can meet your needs! Some of the services we are pleased to offer include:

* We will provide summer therapy to build upon the supports that your child needs during school breaks for articulation and language therapy.

* We will incorporate water therapy and swim to integrate sensory input and promote language development.

*We will provide structured literacy support to bridge the gaps in reading due to COVID interruptions in learning.

*We will have play and language groups for 2-4 year olds who have speech and language skills that are most impacted from mask wearing and reduced socializations.

* We will have kindergarten readiness groups and programming in which we focus on Phonological Awareness , a key building block to future reading success. Including a SLP and Kindergarten Teacher!
