NAMI Wood County

NAMI Wood County To support, educate, and advocate for individuals affected by mental illness in Wood County.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 grassroots national organization, founded in 1979. NAMI is comprised of family, friends and consumers affected by an emotional/mental/ neurobiological brain disorder. These disorders can profoundly disrupt a person’s ability to think, feel and relate to others, which can result in diminished capacity for coping with ordinary demands on life. NAMI Wood County is your local contact agency providing compassion, hope, education, coping skills and advocacy to families, friends and those with neurobiological brain disorders.

Come join us on Thursday, January 29, 2026, for our virtual presentation, “Navigating Grief in Aging,” part of NAMI Wood County’s 2026 Mental Health Conference Series: Caring for a Generation: Supporting Mental Health in Aging.

This session will explore the unique forms of grief that often accompany later life — including loss of loved ones, changes in health, and shifts in independence — and will offer practical tools for supporting older adults through these experiences.

Visit our website at https://namiwoodcounty.org/mhcs/ to learn more about the full lineup of presentations and to secure your tickets.
