🌾 HEY HEY HEY… we still need HAY! 🌾

Our November Pick-A-Day & Donate Hay board is not full yet, and our herd is counting on us to get those last days covered.

Every square on that calendar helps feed the amazing horses who serve our riders, our special-needs groups, our field trips, and our barn family all year long. 💚🐴

If you haven’t picked your day yet…

HEY! TODAY’S A GREAT DAY!

Whether it’s $5, $10, or a full day of hay, every bit helps us reach our November goal and keep our horses happy, healthy, and ready to work their magic.

🌟 Week 4 — Final Week with the Franklin Simpson Special Education Group! 🌟

What an incredible month it has been. These 8 amazing kids have grown in ways that melt our hearts — from shy and timid to confident, capable, and proud of themselves. ❤️🐴

Thanks to a generous grant, we were able to make this experience possible, and we are already planning for Spring!

Their teacher shared a beautiful reflection:
“The kids love riding horses and showing their abilities in a different setting. They have learned to communicate and built relationships with one another as well as the volunteers!”

We couldn’t agree more. Watching them bloom has been such a gift.

If any individual, business, or organization would like to donate toward their Spring visit, we would love to partner with you! Every bit helps us continue offering these life-changing experiences. Please give us a call! 📞💛

Day 24 – Thankful for Hay Donors Who Keep Our Horses Happy 🌾

Hay may not be glamorous, but it’s GOLD to us!
We’re thankful for the generous donors who make sure our herd is fed, healthy, and thriving.

Every bale makes a difference — and we appreciate every single one. 🐴💛

Day 23 – Thankful for Our Holiday Event Crew 🎄

Holiday events don’t just happen — they’re built by dedicated hearts, creative minds, and people who love bringing joy to others.

We’re thankful for our event planners, decorators, helpers, and supporters who make the season magical at New Beginnings. ✨

Day 22 – Thankful for Every Helping Hand 🤲

From holding a horse to leading a rider, from sweeping the aisle to filling water buckets — every helping hand matters.

We’re thankful for those who jump in without being asked, who support our mission with their time and hearts, and who make the barn a place of service and love. 💚

Day 21 – Thankful for the Healing That Happens in Unexpected Ways 💖

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen in the quietest moments — a relaxed breath, a gentle touch, a rider realizing they can do something they once feared.

We’re thankful for the emotional, physical, and spiritual healing that happens here every day… often when we least expect it. 🐴✨

Day 20 – Thankful for Every Lesson That Teaches Patience 🕊️

Working with horses teaches us so much — especially patience. 💭

Every ride, every challenge, every “try again” moment is a reminder that growth takes time and grace.

We’re thankful for the lessons that help us slow down, breathe deep, and trust the process. 🐴✨

Our Story

Equine Assisted Therapies to individuals (ages 5 and up to adults) with behavioral, emotional, mental, and physical disabilities in Warren and surrounding counties through the power of horses. with behavioral, emotional, mental and physical disabilities.

NBTR is a non-profit 501c3 that relies on donations, grants, and fundraisers to operate on a day to day basis. Our goal is to strengthen the minds, bodies, and souls of individuals by providing a recreational outlet that has therapeutic benefits. The responsibility of riding and caring for a horse encourages self-esteem, confidence and coordination. The aim of our program is to see positive changes in the riders physically, emotionally and spiritually.

NBTR is one of four PATH Intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) Premier Accredited Centers in Kentucky and the only one West of Lexington. This means that NBTR has reached or exceeded the standards to ensure we are providing the best quality and safest atmosphere possible to individuals with disabilities. PATH Intl. has been in existence since 1969 and has studied and researched its standards, precautions, and contraindications to horseback riding and allows accredited centers to use this information to ensure safety and qualified services.

NBTR began in 1997 with three students, three horses, and 20 volunteers and to date have served over 900+ students in Warren and surrounding counties with over 11,000 volunteer hours. We can accommodate more individuals because we can have classes indoors and when the weather is nice we can go outside in a large outdoor horse arena or a tree lined trail that was cleaned up by a local Eagle Scout, which is now our sensory trail.
