Important Updates Regarding SNAP and Medicaid

The International Center would like to make our community aware of upcoming changes to federal laws that will affect SNAP (food stamps) and Medicaid programs. These changes will impact immigration status eligibility for both programs.

Beginning October 25, 2025, individuals holding refugee status will no longer be eligible for SNAP benefits.

Beginning October 1, 2026, individuals holding refugee status will no longer be eligible for Medicaid.

After these dates, new applications or renewals for these programs from individuals with refugee status will be denied and existing benefits will be discontinued.

If you require food assistance after losing SNAP benefits, The International Center operates a Food Pantry every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

This is a developing situation, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to receive new information from DCBS.

Our clients enjoyed a beautiful concert at Bowling Green Ballpark, hosted by Med Center Health Adult Day Center in celebration of National Adult Day Services Week. We are so grateful to Med Center for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful event!
