Not feeling well and think it could be the flu? Here’s what to do next.

Most people recover from the flu without treatment. It just needs to run its course. In the meantime:

💧 Drink plenty of fluids like water, tea or warm soup. Hydration is key.

🛏️ Stay in bed and prioritize rest.

💊 Use acetaminophen or ibuprofen to manage fever and body aches.

To help prevent spreading the virus, stay home from work, school and public places until at least 24 hours after your fever is gone without the use of fever-reducing medication.

On Tuesday, Dr. Dhaval Parikh and his wife, Mona, were recognized during the Coaches vs. Cancer Night at the BGSU men’s basketball game.

During the game, Dr. Parikh joined Todd Walker of the Falcon Sports Radio Network (88.1 FM) courtside for an interview highlighting the Nurse Navigator program at The Maurer Family Cancer Care Center and its important role in supporting patients throughout their cancer journey.

Thank you to BGSU Athletics for welcoming Dr. Parikh and his wife and for recognizing the impactful work our Cancer Care Center team does every day.
