The love hormone oxytocin plays a significant role in how we treat others. By increasing our feelings of empathy, compassion, trust, and attachment, oxytocin can lead us to be more caring and supportive towards others. By reducing stress and anxiety and enhancing communication and cooperation, oxytocin can also help us to have more positive and harmonious social interactions.

Oxytocin is a hormone produced and released in the brain during social bonding experiences, such as during childbirth, breastfeeding, and sexual activity. But it has also been found to be released during other positive social interactions, such as when we feel empathy or compassion towards others.

Oxytocin has been shown to have a number of effects on behavior and social interactions. For example, research has shown that oxytocin can increase trust, reduce anxiety, and enhance communication and social bonding. It has also been found to improve our ability to read and interpret social cues and to enhance our ability to form and maintain close relationships.

One way that oxytocin may affect how we treat others is by increasing our feelings of empathy and compassion. Oxytocin has been found to increase our ability to feel and understand the emotions of others, which can lead us to be more caring and supportive towards them. Oxytocin has also been found to increase our feelings of trust and attachment towards others, which can lead us to be more loyal and committed to our relationships.

In addition to its effects on social bonding and attachment, oxytocin has also been found to have other effects on behavior. For example, research has shown that oxytocin can reduce stress and anxiety, which can lead us to be more relaxed and positive when interacting with others. Oxytocin has also been found to enhance our ability to communicate and cooperate with others, which can lead to more positive and harmonious social interactions.

*I have always seen this quote as author unknown but someone mentioned that it’s from Glennon Doyle. I did a little research and it’s from her book, Carry On, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy, Beautiful Life. I’m putting a link to the book in the comments.

Greetings! For those who don't know, we will be moving to Michigan, but will still be part time in BG.
I will be in my office T. & Th. through the end of Sept. Plans in the works after that.
For those comfortable getting out, we must both wear masks. Visits are spaced more, with cleaning of air and surfaces in between.
Also, I am happy to help remotely if you are having any trouble with your daily activities.
Stay safe & take care of yourselves!!!
