The Faculty for the Florida Regional Campus located in Tampa Florida for National Louis University is pleased to announce its search for a dynamic, high-quality full-time counselor educator for a Director of Clinical Training position in the Counseling Program at the Florida Regional Campus. We seek a colleague with expertise in clinical mental health counseling for our CACREP-accredited M.S. in Counseling Program. The program offers advanced graduate training in the field of Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Primary responsibilities will include teaching counseling courses each term in the areas of clinical mental health and counselor education and supervision. This position also requires duties as the director of clinical training. This requires overseeing the coordination of the practicum and internship placements to assist students in establishing appropriate practicum and internship arrangements. Faculty members are expected to participate in shared faculty governance, curriculum development, recruitment, student advisement, dissertation committees, scholarly research, and professional service activities.
The successful candidate will have an earned research or practitioner doctorate (PhD or EdD) in Counselor Education and Supervision or closely related field (prior to appointment) from a CACREP-accredited program required. Licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or other state equivalent. Candidates are expected to have a record of professional and scholarly productivity, effective oral and written communication skills, and experience using a variety of instructional technology and delivery methods.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of CACREP-accredited counseling programs, experience teaching graduate level CACREP core areas as well as specialized courses in clinical mental health and career development and successful teaching experience at the graduate level. Those with a record of professional and scholarly productivity, who are involved in state, regional, or national counseling associations, who have a background in clinical mental health, family therapy or addiction treatment and those with experience in clinical supervision are strongly encouraged to apply.
