✨ Staff Spotlight: Summer Sturgeon ✨
Summer is the kind of team member who keeps everything moving — even if you don’t always see it happening. She was inspired to work in this field because she wanted to help people access the care they need to live fulfilling lives, and that heart for service shows up in her work every day.

Outside the office, you’ll likely find her knitting, reading historical fiction or psychological thrillers, or planning her dream trip to Scotland. She’s a proud night owl and runs on iced vanilla oat milk lattes.

We’re so thankful for the steady, behind-the-scenes impact she makes at Marpè.

✨ Therapy Term of the Week: Antecedent

Before a behavior happens, something usually sets it in motion. That “something” is called the antecedent. Understanding what comes before a behavior helps us support individuals more effectively. Instead of reacting after the fact, we can adjust the environment, routines, or expectations ahead of time to set everyone up for success.

Small changes before a behavior can make a big difference.
