November 5th is National Stress Awareness Day!

In honor of this, here are 5 Tips for National Stress Awareness Day

1. šŸ’ Understand Your Stress Signals
Stress doesn’t look the same for everyone. Notice how it shows up for you — maybe it’s tension headaches, irritability, trouble sleeping, or racing thoughts. Awareness is the first step to management.

2. šŸŒ¬ļø Breathe Before You React
When you feel stress building, pause and take 3 slow, deep breaths. It helps calm your nervous system and gives your brain time to choose a thoughtful response instead of a reactive one.

3. 🚫 Set Boundaries (and Keep Them)
Saying ā€œnoā€ or protecting your time isn’t selfish — it’s self-respect. Boundaries help reduce feelings of overwhelm and create space for rest and recovery.

4. šŸƒā€ā™€ļøMove Your Body
Invite yourself to listen to your body and it's needs. You don’t need a full workout. Even a 10-minute walk, some stretching, or dancing to your favorite song releases tension and improves mood.

5. šŸ’¤ Give Yourself Permission to Rest
Rest is not earned — it’s essential. Your brain and body need downtime to recharge and function well.

BONUS TIP: šŸ¤ Stay Connected!
Stress often makes us withdraw, but connection helps regulate emotions. Reach out to a friend, colleague, or therapist — you don’t have to carry everything alone. :)

This National Stress Awareness Day, take one small step toward caring for your mental health. You deserve peace, not just productivity. šŸ¤

Have you ever caught yourself spiraling over a small mistake—or assuming you know exactly what someone’s thinking (and it’s never good)?
These are called thinking errors or cognitive distortions—and we all have them.

They often show up when we’re overwhelmed, anxious, or trying to protect ourselves. But over time, they can leave us feeling stuck, ashamed, or disconnected from reality.

This post walks you through some of the most common thinking traps and how to gently challenge them. Not with toxic positivity—but with curiosity, compassion, and small shifts in perspective.

šŸ¤ Remember: you’re allowed to question the thoughts that hurt you.
