I stepped outside my comfort zone last weekend. The conference in lovely San Jose was on cranial nasal balloons. What’s that, you say? No need to ask-it is exactly what you think it is. Dr JR Stober, in the 1930’s, developed a technique now called cranial facial release.
Under the watchful eye of the instructor, Dr Tuong Mai, I had a dude stick a balloon up my nose and inflate it. Then I stuck a balloon up his nose and inflated it. We both reported changes in sleep, posture, and breathing. I love the work, but I’m not gonna lie, this stuff is very strange. (PS- there were no lines for me at TSA)
