We use and sell essential oils in our kennel to help calm the dogs, treat wounds and help heal them in body, mind and spirit. Bifrost Farms is happy to order one of the most inclusive selections of high quality, natural dog and cat foods in the area, including many varieties of frozen raw products. This service is usually reserved for our boarding clients, but if you have a special needs dog and are having trouble finding the right food, locally, please call and talk to us.

It's a sad day Bifrost Farms boarding kennel. We lost our sweet Ella last night. She seems to have just gone to sleep and didn't wake up, which I hope was the case.

She was the bestest kennel cat. She liked her independence, but wasn't opposed to the occasional petting. Didn't like other cats, but enjoyed dogs, and was the best companion for Ollie when he lived out there and needed a friend. Let's not forget how good she was at gifting me with the mice who dared enter her domain. You will be missed Ella. Very much.

Well, it appears summer may be over. Doesn't seem like we had nearly enough hot days to use the pool, but the dogs appreciated the break from last summer's heat!

Don't forgot to book holiday reservations early. A reminder that I have half the kennels I had for boarding last winter and we expect to fill up fast!! Looking forward to pumpkins and apple cider and all the good Autumn things right around the corner. You?

Good morning dog lovers and parents!

Effective today, July 14, 2025, there will be a $10 fee for dropping off or picking up your furbaby outside of our regular hours. Up to a point. Sorry, but you can't pick them up at 10:00 at night. 😍 Both me and the dogs will be asleep.

Edit on Kennel closed dates. Things happen, ya know. :)

Bifrost Kennels Boarding will be closed for intake from Wednesday, June 11 through Tuesday, June 17th for floor refinishing.

There's chaos afoot at the kennel these days. We're doing some renovations and there will be some pretty substantial changes at Bifrost Farms coming up. For one thing, kennel space is going to be a bit more at a premium.

As many of you know already, the Great Dane Sanctuary, which is my heart and soul, has moved the dogs to our farm. It's so much nicer for them and I get to see them every day!! But they needed more than just a kennel to call their own, so I am basically cutting my boarding kennel in half for them. They will have the back end (South side) and the boarding kennels will be on the front/North end. A wall and door will separate the two parts.

That leaves me just ten kennels and you know what that translates to? More opportunities for you to find out that we are full when you need us. I have always had a place for every dog that has ever wanted to stay here. But the heart has to do what the heart has to do and I'm hoping the ten kennels I still have will always be full of the wonderful friends we've made in the 15 years we've been here.

I will leave you with the bio of one of our adorably sweet and loving Danes that is currently looking for a home of her own also. Thank you all!!!

She has studied and been certified in many dog-related modalities to help your canine friend live their best life.
