Yesterday was a solemn day of remembrance - Good Friday. It was the day that Christ paid the penalty for all of our sin so that we could have the opportunity to have a restored relationship with our heavenly Father for those who seek, repent, and accept His grace.
The men did more than remember....they did more than simply observe....they instead chose to engage in this remembrance today. There is something about stepping into character and then reflecting that draws a deeper appreciation for the love and sacrifice that was poured out that day for you and me.....

Thank you to Christ Family Outreach Church, in Amelia, for allowing us to be participants in this event today. Can't wait to hear of the fruit received from this.....

We are looking to see who might have either a basketball backboard and hoop or one of those free standing basketball hoops that is no longer used and could use a new home. It would be a welcomed donation to the guys at the ARK. (Especially the younger ones who never seem to run out of energy! Lol,)

But the men enjoyed a good evening at Vibrant Church where the South Side Aglow Community Lighthouse held their February Fellowship gathering and dinner with guest speaker Minister Corrine Walker.

If you have never tasted prime rib before, how can you compare it to ordinary hamburger? You can't because you have no knowledge, experience, or understanding of prime rib, thus you have no basis for comparison. Choosing requires a knowledge of differences....
If an addict has only darkness in their life, how can they ever choose light if they have never been in its presence?
We have seen that by offering light, at least a person now has something to compare their darkness to. And with establishing a basis for choice, we have created motivation, something lacking when you only have darkness to compare more darkness to......
If a man's time with us only accomplishes that....establishing a basis of comparison....then we have added one more step in their restoration process....a process that involves many such small yet fundamental steps...
