Roofing is tough work and the people doing it deserve real protection. 🏠

Roofers work in high-risk conditions every day: heights, heat, heavy materials, changing weather, and physically demanding labor. It’s one of those industries where one injury or health issue can create serious financial stress fast.

That’s why employee benefits aren’t just a nice extra in roofing; they’re part of building a stronger business.

The right coverage can help roofing companies:
🔹 Protect employees when accidents or illnesses happen
🔹 Offer disability and supplemental benefits that help fill expensive gaps
🔹 Improve hiring and retention in a labor-heavy industry
🔹 Build trust with a team that works hard every single day

When your employees are taking care of the job, someone should be taking care of them too.

If you run a roofing company and want to offer benefits without feeling buried by options, I’d be happy to help you find a plan that fits.

Not offering health insurance might seem like a way to save money, but the real cost often shows up somewhere else.

It can look like:
🔹 Higher turnover
🔹 Harder hiring
🔹 More employee stress
🔹 Lower morale
🔹 Lost productivity when people delay care or work through health issues

For many employees, health coverage isn’t just a perk. It’s a major factor in where they choose to work and whether they stay.

When businesses don’t offer benefits, employees may feel like they’re carrying all the risk on their own and that can impact loyalty, performance, and long-term growth.

The good news? Offering coverage doesn’t have to mean offering the most expensive plan on the market. There are creative ways to build benefits that support your team and fit your budget.

Because the cost of doing nothing is often higher than it looks.

Su***de doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.

And in the construction industry… it’s hitting harder than most people realize.

That’s why I decided to get involved.

I’m participating in the **Greater Philadelphia Construction Hike for Hope** to support the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention—and honestly, this one hits different.

In my world, I work with a lot of business owners and teams. Strong people. Hardworking people. The kind that show up no matter what.

But behind that?
There’s stress. Pressure. Long days. And sometimes… silence.

And the reality is—construction has one of the highest su***de rates in the country.

That’s not something we can ignore.

So this is me doing something about it. Even if it’s just one step, one conversation, one donation at a time.

If you’re able to support, I’d truly appreciate it. Every dollar goes toward research, education, and real support for people who need it.

And if donating isn’t your thing—just start a conversation with someone. That matters just as much.

There *is* hope. We just have to keep showing up for each other.

💰 How premiums are split between employers and employees

When it comes to employer-sponsored health insurance, the monthly premium is usually shared between the employer and the employee.

In many cases, the employer pays the larger portion, and the employee pays the rest through payroll deductions. The exact split can vary depending on the plan, the company’s contribution strategy, and whether coverage is for just the employee or their family.

For example:
If a monthly premium is $600, an employer might pay $450, while the employee pays $150.

That’s why benefits strategy matters. The way premiums are structured can affect affordability, employee satisfaction, and retention more than many business owners realize.

The goal isn’t just to offer coverage; it’s to offer coverage your team can actually afford to use.

If you’re reviewing your employee benefits and want to find the right balance, let’s talk.

Your technicians spend their days keeping everyone else safe on the road. But who’s helping protect them? 🔧

Auto repair shops are fast-paced, physical environments where injuries, repetitive strain, and time away from work can hit hard. Not just for the employee, but for the whole business.

From lifting heavy parts to working with tools, chemicals, and tight deadlines, mechanics take on a lot behind the scenes. That’s why benefits matter in this industry more than most people realize.

The right strategy can help shop owners:
✅ Support employee health and recovery
✅ Offer financial protection through disability or supplemental coverage
✅ Improve retention in a competitive labor market
✅ Show technicians they’re valued beyond the paycheck

Good technicians are hard to find. Keeping them starts with taking care of the people who keep your business running.

If you own an auto repair shop or service business, let’s talk about benefits that make sense for your team and your budget.

Currently sitting in a waiting room… and no, it’s not for a networking meeting this time.

It’s my first colonoscopy.

And let me just say—whoever designed the prep… we need to talk 😅

But honestly?
This is one of those things I see from both sides.

On one side—I’m a business owner, busy, constantly moving, always saying “I’ll get to it.”
On the other—I’m in insurance, and I’ve seen what happens when people wait too long.

And those two sides don’t always align… until they have to.

So today, I finally stopped pushing it off.

Not because it’s convenient.
Not because I wanted to.
But because it’s necessary.

If you’re in that same “I’ll schedule it later” phase… just do it.

Alright… be honest—what’s something you’ve been putting off that you know you shouldn’t?

Your employees are your company's greatest assets. 💎

I often hear from small business owners that offering health insurance feels like a "luxury" expense. But when you look at the data, it’s actually one of the smartest investments you can make.

The ROI isn't just on paper:
💙 Retention: It’s 10x harder (and more expensive) to hire new talent than to keep the rockstars you already have.
💪 Productivity: Healthy, stress-free employees do better work. Simple as that.
✨ Culture: Offering benefits says, “I value you.” It builds a foundation of trust.

Whether you have a team of 3 or 30, there are tailored plans designed to fit your budget while Protecting Your Greatest Assets. Let’s chat about how we can supercharge your team’s success.

🩺 How to Find In-Network Care (and Avoid Surprise Bills!) 💡

Before scheduling your next doctor visit, make sure your provider is in-network. It can save you hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars. Here’s how:

✅ Log into your member portal.
Most insurance companies have a “Find Care” or “Provider Search” tool where you can confirm if your doctor or facility is covered.

📞 Call the doctor’s office directly.
Ask them to check your specific plan network. Names can sound similar, so it’s worth confirming.

⚠️ Double-check before your appointment.
Networks change! Always verify coverage to avoid unexpected out-of-network bills.

A quick check now can prevent a big headache later.

Last night was one of those moments that makes you pause for a second…

I was honored to receive 2026 Business #1 in Momentum for Berks County.

If I’m being real—this didn’t happen overnight.
It’s been a lot of conversations, a lot of showing up, a lot of figuring things out as I go… and a lot of genuinely caring about the people I work with.

Because at the end of the day, this business isn’t just about insurance.
It’s about making sure people don’t end up in a situation that financially breaks them—especially when they did everything right.

There were times I questioned if I was doing enough…
If I was growing fast enough…
If people really understood the value I bring.

This award reminded me—momentum doesn’t always feel fast when you’re in it.
But it’s happening.

To my clients, referral partners, and everyone who has trusted me along the way—thank you. You’re the reason this matters.

And Berks County… we’re just getting started 💚

When Can You Change Your Health Plan Outside Open Enrollment?

Life doesn’t always stick to an insurance calendar and thankfully, your coverage doesn’t have to either.

You can make changes to your health plan outside of Open Enrollment if you experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE), such as:
💍 Getting married (or divorced)
👶 Having or adopting a baby
💼 Starting a new job or losing coverage from a previous one
🏠 Moving to a new state or coverage area
🎓 Turning 26 and aging off a parent’s plan

These moments trigger a Special Enrollment Period (SEP), usually lasting 60 days, giving you the chance to update or choose new coverage that fits your changing life.

If one of these events happens, don’t wait. Reach out and we’ll walk you through your options to make sure you stay covered through every life change.
