You’ll be guided through somatic inquiries, gentle yoga, breath practices, and grounding tools that help you move from overwhelm toward steadiness, from numbness toward aliveness. This is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself in a supportive environment, build nervous system awareness, and cultivate regulation strategies you can actually feel. This workshop is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and rediscover the aliveness that emerges when the body feels safe. Join us we learn about how digestion effects us on an individual and daily basis. Participants will discover how the Ayurvedic Doshas and certain yoga postures can aid in creating balance in the digestive system. What is Ayurveda? A natural system of medicine originating in India more than 5,000 years ago. The focus is on the five elements of life: ether/space, air/wind, fire, water, and earth being components relating to our body’s physical and mental states. The concepts of “like increases like” and “opposites balance” guide us to live our lives with nature. Learn how to find balance in how we feel within our bodies as a part of nature’s seasonal shift. “Join us as we ground together using Restorative Yoga and Thai Bodywork techniques to care for ourselves before the holiday season! Our session will end with a guided Abhyanga (Ayurvedic Self-Massage) to your face, hands, and feet as our gift to you!”

“Thai Yoga is a therapeutic practice that combines yoga, meditation, stretching and massage. During this workshop students will experience the calming and relaxing postures of Restorative Yoga. Each posture will be held for several minutes while the practitioner works one on one with each student to increase flexibility and mobility. During this practice, hands on assists and massage will be performed. Students will also be taught various Ayurvedic self massage techniques (Abhyanga) to help alleviate tension in their face, hands and feet. Please wear socks and long pants as well as bring 2 old towels and a blanket with you.”

Restorative and Thai Bodywork
Thai Yoga is a therapeutic practice that combines yoga, meditation, stretching and massage. During this workshop students will experience the calming and relaxing postures of Restorative Yoga. Each posture will be held for several minutes while the practitioner works one on one with each student to increase flexibility and mobility.

Students are asked to wear socks and long pants.

Samana, a Sanskrit word, it is one of five vayus, or directions in which energy flows within each one of us. Known as the breath of balance, samana vayu is a concentrating consolidating force that draws energy inward to one's core, and then processes it to empower all aspects of life, including digestion, vitality, and balance.
