Gua Sha is by far one of my favorite modalities for healthy skin. Using many types of stones and shapes for the Gua Sha is what makes it feel so special. You can feel the energy as soon as it touches your skin. It's gentle but intentional with multi purpose. Guided strokes that tune to your natural rhythm and support the flow of lymph beneath the skin, encouraging the release of fluid buildup, reduce puffiness, boost circulation and creates a naturally lifted, refreshsed glow. A subtle yet powerful way to awaken your skin and deepen your facial experience. During April and May our Gua Sha facial includes a take home tool of your choice. We are now carrying Gua Sha facial brushes! 55 minutes $125. Book on line or reach out directly. https://www.samanahc.com/treatments

Welcome the energy of Spring with a deeply restorative evening designed to support the body’s natural seasonal transition. Licensed acupuncturist Jaime Ziegler, nationally board-certified by the NCCAOM, will offer a community-style acupuncture experience to help the body align with the rhythms of the Spring season. During this session, Jaime will use carefully selected acupuncture points, along with moxibustion and supportive essential oils, to encourage the smooth flow of Qi and nourish the body during this time of renewal. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each season is associated with a pair of organs that work together to maintain balance. Spring corresponds to the Wood element, governed by the Liver and Gallbladder. These organs support the smooth circulation of Qi throughout the body, helping us move forward with clarity, flexibility, and purpose. When this energy flows freely, we feel motivated, creative, and emotionally balanced. When stagnant, we may experience tension, irritability, fatigue, or physical tightness in the body. This treatment will focus on supporting the Liver and Gallbladder meridians to encourage gentle movement of energy, emotional balance, and a sense of renewed vitality. Jaime will also share simple lifestyle insights from Traditional Chinese Medicine to help you move through the Spring season with greater ease. Guiding the movement portion of the evening, Jennifer, an E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, will lead a slow and grounding Yin Yoga sequence designed to complement the acupuncture treatment. The practice will include long-held, supported postures that target the Liver and Gallbladder meridian pathways—particularly through the hips, inner thighs, and connective tissues. These gentle poses help stimulate circulation, release fascial tension, and prepare the body to receive the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture. Together, Yin Yoga and acupuncture create a powerful combination for calming the nervous system, reducing stagnation, and supporting the body’s natural processes of renewal. This unique collaborative class offers a quiet space to soften, restore, and gently awaken your energy as we move into the season of growth.

The Dosha Series Join us on a journey to finding balance in our mind and body. The Dosha Series is a specialized workshop series that delves into each of the three Doshas, or constitutions we hold. Ayurvedic principles, breathwork and yoga practices, focusing on understanding the three doshas and their impact on well-being. Explore how Ayurveda and yoga can harmonize mind and body for a balanced lifestyle. This three part series will explore each Dosha and how it expresses itself; and learn ways to find balance to create healthier lives. This 3 week series will delve into each Dosha and examine how food and movement can help bring balance to one’s individual constitution. What is Ayurveda? A natural system of medicine originating in India more than 5,000 years ago. The focus is on the five elements of life: ether/space, air/wind, fire, water, and earth being components relating to our body’s physical and mental states. The concepts of “like increases like” and “opposites balance” guide us to live our lives with nature. Learn how to find balance in how we feel within our bodies as a part of nature’s seasonal shift. Nourishment in the form of food as medicine, meal timing, and awareness enhances your proper digestive processes within the body. Healthy absorption of essential nutrients, sensory perceptions and life experiences contribute to balanced well-being! Discover practical tools to help fatigue, stress, sleep issues, hormonal imbalances, and digestive concerns. Apr 11th 10-12pm $45 What is Pitta Season and Pitta Dosha? In Ayurvedic tradition, the “Pitta Season” refers to late spring through early fall, a period characterized by the qualities of hot, sharp, oily, light, and penetrating intense heat. During this time, the natural environment mirrors Pitta’s attributes, leading to the hottest and longest days of the year, which can aggravate Pitta dosha in the body and mind, potentially causing issues like irritability/anger as well as inflammation (skin issues, digestive irregularities). Learning how to find relief from these symptoms of imbalance can lead to enjoyment in this transitional season!

Our Story

Samana, a Sanskrit word, it is one of five vayus, or directions in which energy flows within each one of us. Known as the breath of balance, samana vayu is a concentrating consolidating force that draws energy inward to one's core, and then processes it to empower all aspects of life, including digestion, vitality, and balance. In the energetic body, it is associated with the transformative power of the fire element. So, simply put, samana equals transformation from the inside out. We welcome you to share in an exploration of your Self with the multiple modalities we have to offer here at Samana H.C. Whether you resonate with one or all of our services, we hold a space for you that we hope will serve as a catalyst for what YOU have to offer the Universe. Namaste.
