It's another medical milestone for Delray! ❤🎉👏 Today we completed our first TRICvalve implantation for tricuspid regurgitation - and we are one of only three sites in Florida to do the procedure. Congratulations to Tilak Pasala, MD, Medical Director of Structural Heart and his incredible team of clinicians!

TRICvalve implantation is a transcatheter procedure for treating severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) by inserting two self-expanding bioprosthetic valves into the superior and inferior vena cava (SVC and IVC). This minimally invasive approach aims to prevent the backward flow of blood, which helps improve quality of life and right heart function without the high risks of open-heart surgery. The implantation can reduce congestion, improve cardiac output, and lead to significant improvements in symptoms and quality of life for high-risk patients.

Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the APDA Florida Chapter Parkinson’s Symposium on October 18th 2025..

The event featured expert presentations from Lloyd Zucker, MD, neurosurgeon, Chair of Surgery and Medical Director of Neurosurgery at Delray Medical Center who spoke on Focused Ultrasound, and Arif Dalvi, MD, neurologist, Director of the Comprehensive Movement Disorders Center at Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute and Physician Chief of the Movement Disorders Program at Delray Medical Center who talked to the group about the importance of Managing Fluctuating Medication Responses in Parkinson’s disease.

The PBNI movement disorders care team of Caitlin Romero, PA-C and Nithya Mathai, DNP, APRN, FNC-P, also shared the latest insights on exercise and nutrition for patients, followed by an engaging Q&A that also included Caleb Holliman, LCSW.

Events like this are essential for raising awareness, fostering connection, and empowering the Parkinson’s community — and PBNI is grateful to play a role in that mission. It was a privilege to contribute and engage with such an inspiring group. 💙

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this a meaningful day for our Parkinson’s community.
