What If Please and Thank You Still Mattered?
We were taught early that words shape people. Saying please slowed us down. Saying thank you reminded us we needed each other. Somewhere along the way, speed replaced presence and volume replaced respect. We are louder, faster, and more connected digitally, yet strangely disconnected relationally. Maybe our cultural healing does not start with big reforms, but with small daily choices that restore dignity. Civility might not be outdated. It might be missing.
