MISSION:
Our mission to provide education/information, support and advocacy to people with hearing loss. DESCRIPTION:
Your “Like" of HLAA provides much needed support for our goal to open the world of communication for the 48 million Americans with hearing loss. We need more votes to provide testimony to the government and communities at large that HLAA’s proven education, advocacy and support programs for people with hearing loss should be a greater priority. Everyone is WELCOME! Join US as we meet every 1st Saturday, October through May @ 10:30 AM/

Meetings are held at City Hall in Boynton Beach, FL. Our meeting room is equipped with captions and a hearing loop system. Be sure you know how to activate the Telecoil (T-Coil setting) in your hearing aids or cochlear implants. You may also borrow a "loop receiver" for better sound clarity if you don't have hearing aids. We are scheduling a diverse group of professionals who deal with hearing loss problems for our monthly meeting programs. There's always time to exchange ideas, questions and tips on new technology!

These beautiful, one-of-a-kind handcrafted ornaments are the perfect addition to your tree! The coastal-inspired ornaments were created by participants in Els for Autism’s Adult Day Program. The Adult Day Program offers evidence-based learning experiences for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities at The Els Center of Excellence campus and within the community.

The ornaments will be on sale Tuesday, December 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Palm Beach Gardens Tennis and Pickleball Center. All proceeds will benefit Els for Autism.

Thank you to the City of Palm Beach Gardens Recreation for their support!

This Thanksgiving, Speak Up for Kids is serving up something special for nine Early Childhood Court families. These moms are putting in extra time and commitment on tough case plans, and the results are the sweetest dish of all: successful reunifications and a brighter future. 💚

We have the turkey covered, but we need YOU for the sides, sweets, all the festive fixings and a basket! 🥧🍂

✨ Here’s how you can help:
✔️ Pick up a few extra cans of veggies, stuffing, or pie mix on your next grocery run.
✔️ Drop off items at Speak Up for Kids, 215 Congress Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33409.

💡 Our friends at Friends of Foster Children already do an incredible job ensuring foster families have Thanksgiving covered, so we are not duplicating efforts. We are focusing on this special side dish of need: Early Childhood Court families.

A unique installation has captivated more than a million visitors to the renowned Museum of Science, Boston (MOS) since it opened in the summer of 2024. This one-of-a-kind interactive exhibit was created with involvement from HLAA Board Member Andrea Kaneb and support from the Hearing Loss Association of America - Boston Chapter in a year-long collaboration with the MOS development team.

Join US as we meet every 3rd Friday, September through May Meetings are held at " The South County Civic Center" 16700 Jog Road, Delray Beach, FL 33484 Meeting Time 10am to noon Come at 9:45 for coffee & donuts We now have "full service" at our monthly meetings- captions and a functional loop system. For our hearing aid wearers, please check if you have T-coils in your aids and if they are working so you can use them at meetings. We are scheduling a diverse group of professionals who deal with hearing loss problems for our monthly meeting programs. New ideas; new techniques; new appliances. We are preparing a display of assistive listening devices for our meetings where members can see demonstrations of a variety of devices designed to help in those situations where an aid is not enough.
