Bobbi is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology, with advanced training in both medical and aesthetic dermatology. She has a passion for injectable treatments, bringing a unique blend of skill, artistry, and caring to every patient.

Knowing your sunscreen is key to staying this summer! Here are some essential facts to help you choose and use the perfect sunscreen for your skin type and lifestyle. Stay protected and enjoy every sunny moment!
1️⃣ Broad-spectrum sunscreens protect against both UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays.
2️⃣ SPF 30 blocks about 97% of UVB rays, SPF 50 about 98%, and SPF 100 about 99%—but no sunscreen blocks 100%!
3️⃣ “Waterproof” sunscreen doesn’t exist—only water-resistant formulas (usually for 40 or 80 minutes).
4️⃣ Reapply every 2 hours or immediately after swimming or sweating.
5️⃣ Reapplication is more important than SPF strength!

May is Month! 💜 Here are a few tidbits you may not know:
-While skin cancer is more commonly diagnosed in women over 30, it can affect anyone—regardless of gender, skin tone, age (yes, even kids!), or lifestyle.
-The estimates that 8,430 people in the U.S. will die from skin cancer in 2025 alone.
-1 in 5 people will develop skin cancer at some point in their life.
-Women who tanned indoors before age 30—even just once—are 6 times more likely to develop melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer) than those who never did.

How can you protect yourself?
✅ Limit UV exposure
✅ Use FDA-approved sunscreen daily
✅ Get regular skin checks—especially if you have a personal or family history of any type of skin cancer.

Early detection saves lives. Know the ABCDEs of skin cancer:
A – Asymmetry: One half looks different than the other
B – Border: Irregular, scalloped, or poorly defined edges
