If you don’t have a harness system or a second hand, training reactive balance can be pretty tricky šŸ‘€
•
I’ve lived in this world and let me tell you it takes a lot of creativityšŸŽØEven though I have a harness system now, this is still one of my favorite techniques to introduce reactive balance and reactive stepping. And most of therapists already have this equipment!

Hot takešŸ”„ā¬‡ļø
•
As long as healthcare providers continue to take insurances plans that don’t benefit patients or their providers āž”ļø Patients will continue to purchase these ā€œlow costā€ plans āž”ļø Insurance companies will keep raising prices and decreasing benefits to see how much they can get away with.
•
Plain and simple, insurance companies don’t care about providers or patients.

I used to think that starting a family would make me less concerned about the environment I worked in and the people I worked for. šŸ“‹
•
But the opposite happened—it made me more passionate about working in a place I truly cared about, surrounded by people I genuinely wanted to serve.🦽🦼
•
Because when you’re balancing family and career, you realize how important it is to spend your time in a space that matters. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼
•
For me, that meant creating a clinic where patients aren’t just ā€œcases,ā€ but individuals whose stories I’m invested in.šŸ™ŒšŸ¼
•
It’s not always easy—there’s a lot to learn about running a business—but once you step into a place that aligns with your values, you can’t imagine doing it any other way.šŸ”„

I love interventions that target multiple areas with only a single piece of equipment šŸ‘šŸ¼
•
During this intervention, I tell my patients to STOMP as hard and fast as they can onto the Bosu ball and ā€œtry to flatten it outā€. I love getting my patients to channel some power a high amplitude movementsšŸ’ŖšŸ¼
•
The bonus here? The harder and faster they stomp, the more the Bosu is going to rebound them back, forcing them to react to the sudden loss of balance.🧐

🧠✨ Big news from Bozeman: I’ve officially launched my own private practice—Cortex Rehab.
•
After returning to clinical practice at another location, I realized something powerful: I wasn’t just passionate about treating neurological conditions—I was driven to build something that didn’t exist in our area (or maybe even our state). A space where neurological physical therapy is strength-driven, science-backed, and unapologetically patient-centered.
•
Cortex Rehab is that space.
•
We specialize in stroke, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based intensity, neuroplasticity principles, and clear communication—because patients deserve rehab that’s both effective and empowering.
•
If you’ve followed for myth-busting, rehab insights, and educational content, that’s still the place for clinical deep dives and neuroscience made simple. But for everything patient-facing—our offerings, our environment, and the experience we’re building from the ground up—follow
•
That’s where you’ll see the heart of the clinic: how we design care, communicate with clarity, and challenge outdated rehab norms.
•
Thanks for being part of this journey. Let’s make rehab bold.
