October is Vision Therapist Appreciation Month! Vital Vision Therapy and 20Twenty Eyecare are beyond lucky to have these two wonderful humans helping our patients with vision therapy. The impact that these two have on the lives of children, adults, brain injury patients, and many more is incredible. If you’ve ever had the chance to meet either one of them, you know that they are special lights in this world.

Heading into the weekend with a huge smile and a round of applause to celebrate our most recent Vital Vision Therapy graduate 👏

Before Vision Therapy:
“We didn’t realize that he had an issue until he started remote school. He’s always been a great reader and student, but his eyes did get tired often and we wondered if his lack of spatial awareness had to do with the way his eyes worked together.”

“My eyes would drift apart. I couldn’t really control them. I used one eye at a time. My eyes would also jump around instead of moving smoothly”

After Vision Therapy:
“Eye therapy has given him the understanding that his eyes can be exercised and trained. It has also shown him that dedication to hard work over time has big rewards. His confidence has grown in knowing that he is more capable than before.”

We would like to take a minute to recognize Amy Yovich, COVT, on her vision therapist certification that she earned at our national COVD conference last week in Columbus, Ohio.

Amy has been “vital” to our patient care and team at Vital Vision and we are beyond proud of all of the hard work, studying, and 2000+ hrs of clinical experience that she has been a rockstar through. 👏

Additionally, we would like to extend another congratulations to Jill Maxfield, COVT, on her certification as well. Some of y’all may recognize Jill as she was one of our terrific vision therapists before returning back home to Utah. We miss her, but know she is doing terrific things there.

One of our recent VT grads and a video of one of her personal records for pole vaulting. Success in the classroom and in athletics👏

Before Vision Therapy: “I had very frequent, almost daily migraines and I could barely make it through a few pages of a book, even when reading for pleasure. I also had trouble seeing during pole vaulting competitions.”

After Vision Therapy: “I have greatly reduced migraines and now have no issues while reading. Pole vaulting is much easier and even safer.”

Vital Vision Therapy is excited to announce that we will be holding our 1st Open House this upcoming Thursday (February 10th) starting at 4pm. We would love for current patients and family members, graduated patients and their family members, referring providers, providers interested in more information, and anyone interested in more information about vision therapy to join us for a night of introductions to our team, catered food, beverages, and educational information.
