Bozeman Health executive leadership out in the community!

Last week, Michelle Fournier Johnson, Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer, participated in a workforce development panel at the Montana Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Conference, where she discussed investing in people and developing sustainable workforce strategies to support local communities and the future of health care.

Dr. Kathryn Bertany, CEO, also connected with community members during a visit to the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club, sharing updates on how Bozeman Health continues working to meet the growing needs of our community and beyond.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to engage with community partners and collaborate on solutions that strengthen the health and wellbeing of our region.

We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Michelle DeChant Barton, MD, MPH, to our growing team at Bozeman Health! She’s now caring for patients through Bozeman Health Outpatient Psychiatric Services, offering compassionate, collaborative support for those managing mental health concerns.

Dr. Barton is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with interests in treating trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and women’s mental health. Her approach combines medication, psychotherapy and lifestyle-based strategies to support healing and wellness.

Becky Bowler, NP, is a board-certified, adult-gerontology nurse practitioner with more than a decade of experience in palliative care and oncology. She joins us from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to supporting individuals with serious illness.

Her care philosophy blends clinical expertise with whole-person wellness, emphasizing education, symptom management and support aligned with each patient’s values.

Bailey is a certified physician assistant with a focus on family medicine, women’s health and preventive care. She brings experience from Foothill Family Clinic in Utah and a passion for educating and empowering her patients.

Bailey earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and has also worked in global and community health roles—from Seattle to Ghana.

This week, we had the opportunity to host Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Bozeman program for an inside look at our health system, led by Dr. Kathryn Bertany, Bozeman Health CEO.

Participants toured our facilities and engaged in a Q&A session with Dr. Chris Spoja, Bozeman Health Chief Medical Officer, along with our partners at Billings Clinic Bozeman, Community Health Partners and Intermountain Health.
