4 years, 7 trips to Seattle, 238 CE hours and one pandemic interruption later I’m finally a Kois Graduate! To say the least the Kois center has been life changing! The opportunity to learn from John “the goat” himself, the colleagues and friends I can now call my “tribe” on top of the knowledge to treat my patients predictably with comprehensively care for long term health has been incredible. I owe so much to the Kois Center staff/mentors/clinical instructor for the incredible experience, my staff for holding down the office while I was away and putting up with me when I came back wanting to change everything and most of all to my family for the never ending support!!

At Alpenglow Family Dentistry, we remain committed to doing our part in minimizing the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID-19. As healthcare professionals, we continue to follow well-researched, scientific public health advice to help limit infections and slow the spread of COVID-19. We’re excited that our Governor has lifted our Emergency Only order and we will begin seeing patients again on May 4th.

Rest assured, your safety and the safety of our dental team, is a top priority. We will continue to follow all CDC, ADA, and State specific recommendations regarding Personal Protective Equipment and the sterilization of instruments, surfaces, and workspaces to protect our patients and staff members. We are also taking extended measures to further protect all our patients and team with the following protocols:

Pre-screening all patients as we confirm appointments and prior to entering the building
Social distancing – by asking you to remain in your car until we call you when we are ready for your appointment
Upon entering the office, you’ll be asked to sanitize your hands
At the beginning of your appointment, you’ll be asked to pre-rinse with an anti-viral rinse
Having Air Scrubbers installed in the ductwork of our HVAC system (Air Scrubbers by Aerus)
Placing medical grade air purifiers in every operatory and reception area (Medify Air)

If you had an appointment scheduled during our closure, we will be reaching out to you to get your appointment rescheduled. If we’ve already rescheduled your appointment, we’ll be reaching out to confirm your appointment and advise you of some new protocols we’ve put in place to ensure you and our dental team are protected. We encourage everyone in our community to continue to take steps to minimize the spread of the virus, as dictated by the CDC.

We are committed to keeping you and our staff safe while providing the best possible dental care during this time of uncertainty with COVID-19. We are closely monitoring developments and following all protocols by our government agencies to insure the safety of everyone.

We have always maintained a high standard of infection control in our office and pride ourselves on this for our team’s safety and yours. We have personal protective gear and training which is used and applied for every appointment. We wipe and disinfect all surfaces before and after all appointments along with all other frequent contact points and have a thorough sterilization protocol. Hand-sanitizer is available in the reception area, and we request that you use it before your appointment and after.

To ensure safety for all, please call us to reschedule if any of the below apply:
-Have a fever 100.4 or higher
-Have shortness of breath or upper respiratory infection
-Have been exposed to a known case of COVID-19
-Have been told to self-quarantine by any other entity
-Have been to a known hot spot location in the last 14 days
-Are not felling well

We are doing everything we can to maintain a safe environment to keep you and our team healthy. We strongly encourage you to keep safe as well and follow the WHO and CDC advice and guidelines.

Had a great office BBQ last weekend! Couldn’t ask for a better team at Dr. Tyler Melzer and Dr. Brand Robinson!
