National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day: highlights the disproportionate impact of HIV on Black communities and the urgent need for education, testing, prevention, and treatment.

Despite advances in care, systemic barriers still affect access and outcomes. Advocacy and policy play a major role in ensuring equitable access to life-saving medications and support services.

Let’s honor those affected, fight stigma, and work toward health equity.

“Love Every Body,” honors National Eating Disorder Awareness Week (Feb 23–March 1). 💙

Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions that affect people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. Nearly 30 million Americans will experience one in their lifetime.
Let’s raise awareness, challenge stigma, and support those on their recovery journey. Together, we can promote understanding and compassion.

Gallbladder & Bile Duct Cancer Awareness 💚

These rare but aggressive cancers are often diagnosed late due to vague symptoms and low awareness. Education on risk factors, early signs, and prevention is key to improving outcomes.
Pharmacists and student pharmacists play a vital role in promoting awareness, encouraging prevention, and connecting patients to care. Let’s turn awareness into action and support early detection.

🖤 Black History Month | Pharmacy Pioneer Spotlight 💊

Today we honor Anna Louise James, a trailblazer in pharmacy and public service. She was the first African American woman licensed as a pharmacist in Connecticut and owned her own pharmacy for decades. Serving her community with dedication, compassion, and excellence.

Her legacy reminds us why representation in healthcare matters. Black pharmacists have always been leaders, advocates, and changemakers. Often breaking barriers while uplifting their communities.

Hey everyone! National Drug Take Back Day is quickly approaching this Saturday, April 26th!

Join SNPhA and Walgreens in volunteering for National Drug Take Back day this Saturday afternoon!

Give back to your local community and join many other pharmacists and pharmacy students around the world on National Drug Take Back Day by helping to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm EST (can stay for as little or as long as your schedule allows)

Even if you are not in Florida, please let us know if you are planning to volunteer this Saturday for Drug Take Back Day in your local community below! We would love to see how everyone is giving back to their community and acknowledge your service!
