🎅Santa Paws sent reinforcements 🐾 Holiday stress met its match when therapy dogs Ethan and Radar trotted through the hospital. Ethan returned to spread comfort and cheer, and Radar joined the volunteer team just in time for the season.🎄Together, this merry duo delivered tail wags, smiles, and plenty of holiday pawsitivity this week to patients, staff and visitors. 🐶 Make sure to say hello next time you see them!

🎁✨ This morning, Manatee Memorial Hospital was filled with holiday cheer, big smiles and generous hearts!

We were honored to welcome members of the Bradenton Police Department alongside City of Bradenton Mayor Gene Brown (City of Bradenton, Florida - Government) for a special toy drop-off as part of BPD’s mission to spread holiday joy throughout our community. The gifts were graciously accepted by members of our hospital leadership (featured in the photo!) and will help brighten the days of children in our Outpatient Pediatric Therapy program, patients in the Emergency Department and even hospital visitors along the way. 🧸🎄

We are grateful to be one of the many stops on this journey of giving. Thank you to the Bradenton Police Department and Mayor Brown for helping us deliver smiles, comfort and a little extra magic this holiday season. ❤️

🎄🎅 Holiday Cheer at Manatee Memorial Hospital! 🎅🎄Today, we had a heartwarming visit from 1st US Volunteer Cavalry Regiment - Rough Riders, Inc., Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Rick Wells and the amazing Manatee County Sheriff's Department – and they brought some extra holiday cheer. 🎁 Together with our hospital administration, we accepted delivery of adorable teddy bears to be shared with our Pediatric Therapy Department and ER patients! 🧸💖 These cuddly companions are sure to bring smiles and comfort to those who need it most this holiday season.

This season, generosity truly makes the difference. A big thank you to the Sun City Center community and our team at Manatee ER at Sun City Center for coming together to spread holiday joy by donating toys for children throughout Hillsborough County through the Sincerely Santa Tampa toy drive.

A special thank you to Santa’s helpers—the firefighters of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Florida for picking up the donated toys and helping ensure they reach the children who need them most.

Because of your kindness and teamwork, countless little faces will light up with joy this Christmas. Moments like these remind us that care extends far beyond hospital walls—it lives in compassion, generosity, and community spirit. This is what it’s all about: spreading hope, smiles, and holiday cheer to families across our community.

🎁🎁 Last Chance to Be a Part of Our Holiday Toy Drive! 🎁🎁 Manatee ER at Sun City Center is proud to be a sponsor and host site of this year’s Sincerely Santa Tampa Toy Drive, collecting unwrapped gifts and clothing for underprivileged children in the Tampa Bay area. This is the final weekend to participate in the Toy Drive, as items will be picked up on December 15th from our ER at Sun City Center at 16504 S. US 301 in Wimauma (the corner of U.S. 301 and Sun City Center Blvd in front of Walmart).

They are accepting clothes and toys from infants to teenagers. Toys will be collected at 9 AM on December 15 by the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Department and distributed to underprivileged kids just in time for the holidays. The ER at Sun City Center is open 24/7 for all emergency care needs, including helping kids this Christmas.

Clean hands help save lives 🧼 — and as we wrap up National Handwashing Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the simple habit that makes a big difference in keeping our hospital and community safe. 🤝 At Manatee Memorial, proper hand hygiene is one of the most important steps we take to protect patients, visitors, and staff. 🏥 Whether it’s washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizer, every clean pair of hands helps reduce the spread of illness and supports safer care for everyone.

⚠️Remember: at least 20 seconds of handwashing can make a lasting impact. 💚
