🐶 Ethan understood the assignment. 🤝 From the moment Therapy Dog Ethan walks into the lobby, heads turn and smiles light up! Whether he’s stopping by the Emergency Room or seeing our smaller patients in Pediatric Therapy, he has a way of making the hospital feel a little brighter.🌟 Patients usually call for him and even have treats to give out!

💡 therapy dogs play an important role in supporting patients, families and staff throughout the hospital? Their presence helps create a calmer, more welcoming environment during moments that can feel overwhelming or unfamiliar. Next time you see him around the hospital, make sure to stop him and say hi! 👋

🏥 Then & Now: A Legacy of Care ✨ From our first patient in 1953 to where we are today, Manatee Memorial has grown alongside the community we serve. What started as a vision to provide quality care has evolved into a trusted healthcare resource—expanding services, advancing technology, and strengthening our commitment to patients and families year after year.

Through growth, change, and innovation, one thing has remained the same: our dedication to being here when our community needs us most. From lifesaving care to everyday health needs, we’re proud to be an asset and to continue building a healthier future together. 💚

Honoring where we started. Proud of where we are. Focused on what’s ahead.

🌟 Service Line Spotlight: Medical-Surgical! MedSurg care focuses on patients who require ongoing monitoring, treatment and recovery support. At Manatee Memorial, this area is one of the most dynamic service lines in the hospital, focusing on Oncology, Bariatrics, Orthopedics, and general Medical-Surgical patients. The leadership team manages post-surgical care, chronic conditions, and complex medical needs while coordinating closely with physicians, specialists and nursing staff. Their role helps ensure continuity of care and safe transitions throughout a patient’s stay. 🏥
