🏥 Recognized for Excellence in Chest Pain Care ❤️ Manatee Memorial continues to be named an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI by the American College of Cardiology. This marks the second accreditation cycle in a row, reflecting our continued commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based cardiac care for our community.

This designation recognizes hospitals that meet rigorous standards in the rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients experiencing chest pain or symptoms of a heart attack. With Primary PCI accreditation, it also confirms our ability to quickly provide advanced, life-saving treatment for certain types of cardiac emergencies.

For our patients and community, this means access to trusted heart care close to home, delivered by a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, technologists, and support staff who are ready when every minute matters. Manatee Memorial Hospital’s crew proudly dropped anchor at the annual Hernando De Soto Historical Society's Grand Parade Saturday night, bringing plenty of energy, smiles, and fun to the celebration. Our pirate-themed float was ready to set sail through the route, with families lining the way to neighbors cheering us on, it was a treasure-filled day! 💚 We may have brought the pirate flair, but the real treasure is always the people in our community. 🎉 Happy Laboratory Week 🔬 This week is National Lab Week with the Toy Story theme: “To Infinity and Beyond for Patients”. This department’s work helps provide answers for patients every day. A typical day begins with receiving samples from patients across the hospital and outpatient settings. Each specimen is carefully handled, tested, and analyzed to help identify illness, monitor conditions, or track recovery.

Throughout the day, the team performs bloodwork, analyzes samples, verifies results, maintains quality controls, and communicates urgent findings to physicians and nurses. 🩺 While one test is being completed, new requests are already coming in, making the lab a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy, focus, and teamwork at every step. Their work helps physicians make timely decisions, supports nurses at the bedside, and provides patients with answers that can guide treatment and recovery. We’re grateful for the precision and dedication our Lab team brings every day!💚

Our Freestanding Emergency Department (FED) in Bayshore Gardens provides around-the-clock emergency care designed to meet the needs of our growing community. Patients can access timely treatment for a wide range of medical emergencies without traveling far from home.

Staffed by experienced physicians, nurses, and support professionals, the facility is equipped to quickly assess, diagnose, and begin treatment. On-site diagnostics and seamless transfer access to Manatee Memorial Hospital help ensure continuity of care when higher levels of treatment are required.

This FED is Acute Heart Attack Ready certified by The Joint Commission and has received the American Heart Association’s STEMI Referring Center Bronze recognition for rapid, evidence-based heart attack care.

Whether caring for patients inside the hospital or supporting them through outpatient treatment, their expertise makes a difference at every stage of healing.

Inpatient Wound Care Nurses work closely with care teams throughout the hospital to assess wounds, develop treatment plans, prevent complications, and support healing for patients during their stay. 🏥 Outpatient Wound Care Nurses continue that support beyond discharge by helping patients manage chronic or slow-healing wounds through ongoing treatment, education, and follow-up care. Through their expertise and providing patient education, our Wound Care Nurses help restore comfort, confidence, and health.
