What if I told you it doesn’t matter whether you believe in Jesus, Muhammad, star beings—or even donuts?
A former teacher of mine, Michaela Grace, used to say that with a smile… and she was right. What matters isn’t who you connect to, but that you stay connected to something higher. And the truth is, none of us can do that alone.
After 12 years of podcasting, yoga teaching, and inner work, one thing has become crystal clear: we need spiritual community. Not perfect people—imperfect humans doing their best, stumbling, rising, and showing up again.
I talked in class recently about Shiva Nataraj, the cosmic dancer, stepping lightly on the ego—reminding us that the mind is a great servant but a terrible master. That’s why we need safe spaces where we can say, “I’m struggling,” without shame… and have someone reflect compassion back to us.
I’m grateful for mentors like Frannie Hoffman, whose presence alone brings perspective and grace. We all need those people—the ones who ground us, remind us of our progress, and gently pull us out of guilt and self-punishment.
If you don’t have a spiritual community, find one. And if you can’t find one, create it. You are a co-creator. That’s why I built my studio, why I host groups, and why I honor anyone brave enough to hold space for others. It takes effort, yes—but it’s needed.
Because here’s the magic: when one person reaches a higher frequency, hundreds of thousands around them rise too. That’s the power of inner work. Your presence alone becomes healing.
If you’d like to join our supportive circle, I host a small WhatsApp community where we share, reflect, and uplift one another. Reach out to me at erin@erincoach.com
and I’ll add you.
Until then, keep doing your inner work. Keep showing up. And keep choosing connection over perfection.
Om Namah Shivaya.
