Today, we honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and the values he championed: compassion, equity, and service to others.

At Trivium Life Services, Dr. King’s vision reminds us that caring for one another and building inclusive communities is both a responsibility and a shared commitment. We strive to create spaces where every person feels seen, supported, and respected.

As we reflect today, may we continue to lead with empathy, listen with intention, and work together toward a more just and hopeful future for all.

In recognition of the holiday, Averte's administrative offices will be closed on January 1, 2026. We will resume normal business hours on January 2.

❄️ At Averte’s Main House campus, a quiet winter moment stood out, snowy, bare footprints crossing the ground.
These simple impressions are a reminder that self-care doesn’t always look polished or planned. Sometimes, especially here in snowy Vermont, self-care looks like stepping outside, slowing down, and allowing space to pause and be present.

In these small, grounding moments, individuals can reconnect with themselves and their surroundings. At Averte, these everyday experiences are recognized as meaningful parts of the journey toward balance, healing, and growth, one step at a time. 💙

❄️ Winter is in full swing at Averte ❄️

Fresh snow and crisp winter days have set the scene for a season filled with warmth, connection, and meaningful moments across our community.

This month, we’re celebrating with festive gatherings including a crafters event, a Hanukkah celebration, a Christmas party, and a cheerful staff potluck. Alongside these events, individuals and staff are enjoying a wide variety of seasonal activities from Christmas light outings, wreath making, caroling, ice skating, cookie decorating, exploring ice castles, and so much more.

Each activity is thoughtfully planned to foster creativity, strengthen connections, and create space for joy and belonging throughout the winter season.

We’re grateful for the care, togetherness, and sense of community that make this time of year so special. 💙❄️

Unlock Independence with our Independent Living Program (ILP)

We believe in empowering individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness. Our ILP offers the perfect balance of independence and support, allowing clients to thrive while still having access to our dedicated clinical and residential staff.

By managing daily tasks, our clients experience pride and accomplishment, leading to improved mental health and self-esteem. With full access to clinical programming, medication management, and community activities, we’re here to support their journey every step of the way.
