We commonly treat sports injuries, worker's compensation injuries, auto accident injuries, and any type of neck and back pain. This includes headaches, sciatica, disc injuries, both chronic and acute injuries, and so much more. We treat each patient like family. Our compassionate, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible. We provide effective care that allows your body to function at it's highest level. We accept almost all types of insurances, and we also have affordable cash plans for our patients too. Although we do offer same-day appointments when available, we encourage making appointments as far in advance as possible. Our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding scheduling and payment arrangements. With three certified medical examiners on our team, we also offer both DOT physical exams, and on-site drug testing. Snow shoveling might seem simple, but it’s one of the most common causes of winter back injuries. At Lakes Chiropractic, we want to help you keep your spine safe and pain-free this season!

• Warm up first — a few minutes of stretching helps your muscles handle the cold.

🍁 Thanksgiving prep = a LOT of bending, lifting, chopping, and standing!

While we all love creating that perfect holiday feast, your spine might not feel quite as thankful afterward. Here are a few simple ways to keep your back happy while you cook, clean, and entertain:

🦃 Lift smart. When moving turkeys, roasters, or heavy pans, bend at your knees—not your back—and keep items close to your body.

🔪 Mind your posture. Chopping veggies for an hour? Keep your workspace at a comfortable height and avoid hunching forward. Wearing a good supportive shoe can help too!

⏱️ Take micro-breaks. Every 20–30 minutes, step away from the counter, roll your shoulders, stretch, or walk around the kitchen to reset your spine.

💧 Stay hydrated. Muscles (including those supporting your spine!) work better when you're well-hydrated.

🧼 Divide and conquer. Tag-team cooking and cleaning when possible to avoid fatigue and overuse strain.
