Now offering pelvic physical therapy!Cray Physical Therapy patients are a top priority when it comes to all the treatment programs that we offer.
Cray Physical Therapy provides personalized outpatient care with skilled physical therapists specializing in orthopedic, sports, pelvic, and vestibular rehabilitation to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and help patients achieve their therapy goals. Our patients are evaluated and treated by the same licensed physical therapist they see on the first visit. Every treatment session is one hour in length and we provide our patients with one to one care. Each physical therapist is trained to evaluate a patient's condition in order to develop the perfect plan for recovery. Whether a patient is recovering from an injury, needs to reduce or eliminate pain, improve mobility and physical ability and strength or just has questions. Our goal in mind is to be our patient's resource for life. If you need physical therapy treatment, visit Cray Physical Therapy at one of our three locations; Braintree, Weymouth and Norwell, MA.

Surgery isn’t where your recovery begins—it starts before you even step into the operating room.
Physical therapy before surgery (“prehab”) helps improve strength, flexibility, and joint mobility—so your body is better prepared for the procedure. It can also reduce complications and speed up recovery time afterward.
Going into surgery stronger gives you a real advantage on the other side. We’re here to help you feel ready.

How you get out of bed can make or break your day 🛏️
✅ DO THIS: Roll to your side, push up to sit
❌ NOT THAT: Sitting straight up from your back
Start your morning pain-free 💪

If walking has started to feel a little unsteady or uncomfortable, it’s worth slowing down and checking in with your form.
Try walking tall with your eyes forward and your steps even and controlled. Let your arms swing naturally at your sides.
It may feel like a small change, but better posture can take pressure off your hips and knees—and help you feel more confident with each step. A small adjustment can make walking feel easier and more confident again ❤️

STOP avoiding movement completely because of pain 🚫
START moving smarter, not less ✅
The right kind of movement can actually help you heal faster.
Pain doesn’t always mean “don’t move”—it often means “move differently.”
We’ll show you how 💪

DO this and NOT that
Stop the shuffle 👀
Your walk matters more than you think.
✅ DO THIS: Walk tall, eyes forward, smooth steps
❌ NOT THAT: Looking down + short, shuffling steps
Strong posture = happier hips & knees 🙌

Weak glutes can lead to hip and lower back pain.
When we sit too much, our glute muscles become inactive. This can place extra stress on the hips and lower back.
💪 Glute Bridges are a great way to wake up those muscles and support your hips.
How to do it:
• Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat
• Squeeze your glutes and lift your hips
• Hold for 2–3 seconds
• Lower slowly and repeat 10–15 times
Stronger glutes help stabilize your hips and protect your lower back.
Need help building strength safely? A physical therapist can guide you with the right exercises for your body.

Sitting all day? Your hips may be feeling it.
When we sit for long periods, our hip flexors tighten and can start pulling on the lower back, leading to stiffness and discomfort.
✨ Try this Hip Flexor Stretch to release tension and improve mobility.
How to do it:
• Step one foot forward into a lunge
• Keep your back knee on the floor
• Gently push your hips forward
• Hold for 20–30 seconds each side
Small daily stretches can make a big difference in how your hips and back feel.
If hip pain or tightness is affecting your daily life, our physical therapists can help you move comfortably again.

🎓 Giving Back to the Future of Physical Therapy 💙
At Cray Physical Therapy, caring for our community goes far beyond the clinic walls. One of the ways we’re most proud to give back is through our scholarship program, supporting local high school graduates who are passionate about pursuing a career in physical therapy.
These students represent the future of our profession—compassionate, driven, and dedicated to helping others heal and move better. Being able to support their journey means so much to us.
We are incredibly grateful to our amazing patients, friends, and community members who purchased our hoodies to help make this possible. Your support helps us invest in the next generation of physical therapists and continue giving back to the community that supports us every day.
Hearing from our recipients reminds us why this program matters so much:
“Your scholarship provided my books and lab materials, allowing me to fully participate in General Chemistry, Cell Biology, Health Science, and Organic Chemistry at Saint Michael’s College. I’m having an incredible experience at Saint Mike’s, and I’m so grateful for your support in making this possible.”
— Lily K., Spring 2025 Recipient
Because of you, we’re not just helping people move better today—we’re helping shape the caregivers of tomorrow. 💙
