Bayshore PT is HIRING!!!

Highly respected and Independently owned fun and energetic outpatient facility is looking to hire a Lead Physical Therapist who is a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with an entrepreneurial attitude to join our team as a full or part time Physical Therapist! Salary is dependent on YOUR work ethic as opposed to experience. Located within one of the largest fitness facilities on the south shore, you will have access to a built in clientele as well as the ability to make your own hours and schedule.

**
Overview
As a physical therapist, you will diagnose and treat patients who have health conditions that limit their ability to move and perform everyday activities. You will not only help restore their physical function and mobility, you will also work to promote overall wellness and boost their quality of life.

In many cases, you'll form long-term relationships with patients and be rewarded by seeing their hard work pay off. In fact, you'll act as both a clinical expert and an educator in many scenarios. You will need a deep understanding of human anatomy and kinesiology, but also be adept at motivating and encouraging people who are struggling with pain and physical dysfunction.

Duties
During a patient's initial appointment, you'll ask about their medical history, evaluate their symptoms and develop a rehabilitation plan that aligns with the patient's personal needs and goals.
Throughout the treatment process, you'll work directly with the patient to teach them different functional tasks and exercises intended to strengthen or stretch muscles as well as alleviate pain.
The responsibilities of a physical therapist include:

Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan
Teaching patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques
Providing stimulation or massage to promote healing
Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
Maintaining patient records and keeping track of goals and progress
Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises

We are a one-on-one facility. We do not double-book. This leads to happier clients because you can fully focus on them, as opposed to managing 2, 3 or even 4 patients at once like at larger chain facilities. This also leads to happier PTs and less burnout. Win-win for everyone.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 /week (dependent on many factors, NOT experience level).

Know someone who might be interested? $500 referral fee. Just have them mention your name when applying.

FOOT PAIN?!?

Plantar fasciitis is one of those issues that our clients don't usually think of physical therapy as their first option for treatment, but they SHOULD. It's actually one of my favorite injuries to treat because by the time a client gets to us, they've usually been in pain for MONTHS (if not YEARS) and they usually walk out of here about 90-100% better on the first day of treatment. Once they see such a dramatic change, we've got a client for life!

Treatment usually consists of:

- MASSAGE to the foot/lower leg (who doesn't love a good massage??)

- STRETCHING of the tissue on the bottom of the foot/calf

- STRENGTHENING exercises for the foot/leg

- TAPING to support the plantar fascia and allow for healing

- A tailor-made home exercise program to assist with recover and prevent recurrence

If symptoms persist longer, then we begin thinking about alternative treatment options like orthotics/arch supports, dry needling/acupuncture, and medications to reduce inflammation. These are rarely necessary however.

If you've had foot pain in 2021...start 2022 off right and come in to get it taken care of!

Call/text us at (617) 201-7820 for a free assessment, whether it's your foot or anything else that's bothering you!

Dry needling for knee pain.

Just one of MANY tools at our disposal to treat knee pain. ~95% of patients that come to us with knee pain think there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with their knee. They've had x-rays which are useless almost 100% of the time. They've had MRIs which sometimes will show a meniscus tear or something similar.

Most of the time, the problem isn't even in their knee. It's usually just some tight and/or weak muscles in their hip which is an easy fix. But all too often, doctors and other medical professionals, get "tunnel-vision" and focus all their attention on the painful area...forgetting that the knee is just one part of a larger, much more complex machine.

If you've been having knee pain that you can't figure out, we've got the tools here to fix you...and the best mechanics to do the job😉

*Thanks to Teddy D. for letting us use your leg as a model!

What is Dry Needling?
Dry needling is a technique used to decrease muscle tension, release trigger points, and decrease pain or stiffness. Dry needling is similar to acupuncture, however it is more individualized and anatomically based. Acupuncture focuses on the flow of energy in the body while dry needling addresses a specific musculoskeletal diagnosis.

Common injuries we treat with this technique:
Low back or neck pain
Sciatica
Shoulder pain
Muscle spasms/stiffness
Headaches
Acute or chronic pain
Platter fasciitis
Tendon injuries
