Yep, sounds obvious but it's great to have this verified.

A new review of outpatient US clinics confirms what NLCA has long advocated: when parents have access to International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs), breastfeeding rates go up- both how exclusively babies are fed breastmilk and how long breastfeeding continues. This holds true across different settings: urban, rural, high-income, low-income. Let’s work together to make IBCLC care accessible for all postpartum families.

BIG NEWS!! We will be welcoming a 7th associate to Branchburg Lactation!!

Emily DelPrete, RN, BSN, CCRN, IBCLC is a Registered Nurse and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. She has worked in the NICU since 2016, where one of her greatest passions has been supporting and guiding mothers and families in the fresh postpartum period.

After experiencing her own breastfeeding struggles (as well as many victories) with her first baby, Emily was inspired to dive deeper into lactation and ultimately pursue her IBCLC certification. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland and also holds a critical care certification in NICU nursing.

Emily feels honored to work alongside families during such a precious, life-changing time. Outside of work, she enjoys baking (especially sourdough), and spending time with her husband, their two young boys, and their two big goofy dogs.
