This week's member spotlight is one of our newest member's here at Keystone, Meghan S. ๐๐ป We are so happy fate brought your to us!
1. What inspired you to join Keystone?
My boyfriend and I moved recently to Brandon from South Tampa, so I've been slowly discovering things in the local area. I've never really been consistent with Yoga, but kept thinking I wish there was a small studio close enough to our house that I could go early in the am or later in the evening. Sure enough, one day while driving I saw yoga flags/Keystone and thought, how serendipitousโI've gotta check them out!
After taking Nikhilโs Power Yoga class one evening, I realized I'd love to do this at least once a week to help round out my personal health & fitness goals, physically and spiritually. PLUS, the studio only being 5 minutes from our house is a huge bonus! ๐
2. How do you feel after a class?
A couple of years ago I really started to use my breath as a tool and discovered how healing and transformative it can be. So pairing that with the physical practice, allows me to feel... intentional, focused and strong! It's always a rewarding reset for me-brings me back to center.
3. What advice would you give someone new to Yoga?
Everyone's intentions are different, but overall I feel we're all there to evolve and grow in some type of way. My advice would be to focus on allowing the practice to really guide you & learning to then let it serve you how you need. I feel like the focus of connecting your mind & body unlocks new gratitude in all different ways! Plus, it's truly something everyone can benefit from living in a more stationary worldโ It's so important to move, stretch and lengthen!
