If you guessed Yana yesterday for our Teacher Spotlight you were correct! Today we celebrate one of the NEWEST yoga teachers in our studio. 🎉
1. How did your yoga journey start?
My yoga journey began in 2014, when I tried my first class and immediately felt a deep connection to the practice. At that time, life was busy and finding time for myself was not easy. I often squeezed yoga into my lunch breaks, using that short window just to move, breathe, and reset. There were periods when I had to miss classes and step away from regular practice, but I always found my way back to the mat. Yoga gave me something I couldn’t find anywhere else — a sense of peace, presence, and grounding. No matter how full life became, yoga remained a place where I could reconnect with myself, and over time it became an essential part of who I am, both on and off the mat.
2. What led you to become a yoga teacher?
Becoming a yoga teacher wasn’t something I planned — it simply clicked one day. I felt a strong inner pull to learn more about yoga beyond physical practice and to truly understand its deeper layers. And being part of a supportive, family-like Keystone yoga community helped me grow and gave me the confidence to take this step. The more I learned, the more I felt called to share this love and passion with others. Teaching yoga feels like a natural extension of my own journey,
3. What do you hope students feel or take with them after your class?
I hope students leave my class feeling calm, grounded, and more connected to themselves. My wish is that they carry a sense of ease, presence, and kindness with them — not only for the rest of the day, but into their everyday lives.
Fun Fact: I dreamed about having a dog since my childhood, but got my first puppy at 36
