Please.. PLEASE go see your parents, grandparents, brothers/sisters whoever they are in a nursing home!! The amount of residents that tell me that their kids never come see them AND they live near or in the same town, this literally BREAKS my heart. They beg for me to just have a few minutes to sit down and have a conversation with them because they are so lonely. They seldomly get to leave their room to do things that they enjoy, let alone the facility. They are stuck in there everyday and we are who they look forward to seeing everyday. The holidays are coming up very quickly and it’s very hard and depressing for them when some see family/friends come visit all of the time and others have nobody. Please just take an hour out of your week to go see them. I know they will cherish it forever.

Queenie Roux was a Florida mother of six children traveling to Atlanta for a better life when she tragically crashed her vehicle on the I-75.
