Monday, January 26th Edition!

01/27/2026

Hi!
My name is Lori.
I’m a 61 year old grandma.
I’m down 120 pounds on WeightWatchers
If for one second you doubt that this isn’t possible for you, can I say ā€œOh, it IS possible!ā€
You are not too old, too far gone, too busy, too broken, or too behind.

I’m living proof that change can happen at any stage of life. Not because I had super willpower or a perfect plan, but because I decided to stop quitting on myself. One small choice at a time. One ordinary day after another.

This journey hasn’t just changed my body. It’s changed my mindset, my faith, and the way I show up for the people I love!

If you’re watching this and thinking, ā€œI wish I’d started years ago,ā€ let me gently remind you: the best time to start was then, BUT the next best time is today!

You don’t have to do it all. You just have to take the next right step.

If I can do this at 61, you can too.
And I’m cheering you on every step of the way.

It’s the last week of January, so let’s finish strong with our ā€œRooted in the Wordā€ series as we learn and meditate on Proverbs 16:3.

ā€œSnowā€ šŸ˜‰ as you know, most of our country has been in the midst of a winter weather event, so my Sunday was very different from the norm. I knew I would need to keep busy and find a way to hold myself accountable, so I brought you along.

Girls, our health journeys don’t take a break because it’s cold or snowy. We are either making forward progress or not.
My word this year is ā€œdisciplined.ā€ To me, that means staying focused, on plan, being intentional.
What did you do to help keep yourself ā€œon track?ā€

New Blog Post šŸ“¢
We all fail.
The question is… do we spiral downward, or do we fail forward toward God?
Today’s sermon reflection challenged me deeply especially as it relates to health, habits, and grace.
Check out my latest blog on my website.

I decided to make cornbread to go with my soup and thought I’d repost the recipe in case you’ve missed it before.
It makes 12 muffins and they are 2 points on WeightWatchers
The recipe is an oldie, but a goodie! šŸ˜‹
